A shadowy figure, walking briskly down the hall.

Right turn, left turn, down the hall 809 feet. Turn to the left and look at the door to your left.

His red eye was glinting as he knocked.

"Who is it?" A voice called out from the other side of the door.

"There's only one other person in this manse, Erik Killman."

Slowly, the door opened as the short figure peeked at him from behind the door. "You know I don't have time to mess around, right? Our sleeping guests still have to be monitored until you finish building your island. That's what Wyatt wanted us to do, Dagger."

Dagger smiled as he pushed open the door and walked past him. "I know, I know. Speaking of which, I have some good news for you. It's about the island."

Erik's eyes lightened up slightly, painfully reminding Dagger of the program that had once defeated him before. He pushed the feelings away, taking out a piece of paper and handing it to the boy. "Here."

Erik took it, eyes skimming the paper before his face paled suddenly, turning to look at him. "You-what is the meaning of-"

Dagger grinned as he lunged at him, grabbing Erik by the neck as he pulled out a gun from his suit jacket, pointing it at his head. "You and I both know that we'll do anything for love. That's what we have in common."

Erik choked for air, struggling to move. "W-what are you going to do with those guests?!"

The man smiled innocently as he leaned forward. "You read it on that piece of paper I gave you. I've formed a new contract with a different person, and he's much more reliable than the old one. His only request is that I resume what was started from before."

Erik glared at him as his face began to turn blue. "Y-you monster."

"I've said it before and I'll say it again. You know how devastated I was after hearing that my girlfriend had disappeared again. I'm not allowed to say his name, but my new master has promised me quite a lot on top of the deal that he'll find her for me! All for the exchange of some more lives. I'd say I made a good deal. Ah, but don't worry. I'll keep you around as a servant for me. You can make things fun for them before I begin!"

With a laugh, Dagger pulled the trigger. Erik immediately fell limp, the metal parts of his head crumbling apart as blood dripped down Dagger's sleeves.

The host smirked as he let go, bending down as he carefully lifted Erik's shirt up before he took the SD card that was attached to a port in the boy's back.

With blood trailing from his shoes, he made his way to the computer and reached into his pocket once more, taking out a USB drive and plugging it into the computer.

DESPAIR. Type it into the computer. Access the file labeled plan_D2. Click to start.

A grin slowly stretched out on his face as he looked over at the monitor to see the sixteen sleeping subjects getting transported away to the island by the robots in the manse that had remained in disuse for months.

He stood, walking out of the room and to the front of the manse, watching the action from the front door.

Slowly, Dagger took his cellphone out, dialling one of the two contacts that remained in his phone.

"Hello? It's me."

Dagger laughed as he started to walk out of the manse, away from his past.

"Let's get this party started."

A/N:

Welcome back! Or, if you're new, then welcome! I've been planning on this story for almost a year now. This prologue is more for me to look at what needs adjusting, so it may change.

Of course, you don't need to read the first book to understand this one (though I suggest you do in order to get the full experience of this book) There will be a few references here and there but I'll do my best to focus solely on the new faces for this story!

What's New:

1) An entirely new cast of characters! I have more emotional attachment to these guys, a lot more than the old group of characters. That means I'll be more inclined to giving them tragic endings muahaha.

2) Lots of art. I drew out the designs for the characters in the book, as well as Dagger. There's also the silhouettes that'll show you who's still alive and who's not.

3) Hopefully better murder plots and executions.

4) More of my trashy music that I'll put in if I think it fits.

5) Less cringe and more of an actual story, hopefully.
