(Your POV)

"Hey Kaede, what's up?" You smiled at your girlfriend.

"Oh! I'm thinking of that talent show this Friday," Kaede smiled.

"Lemmie guess, you wanna do piano, right?" You laughed a bit when Kaede confirmed this, "Well, what if we wrote a song and did it together?"

"That'd be so cool!" Kaede's eyes lit up, and the two of you got to work.

"Please welcome to the stage, Miss Kaede Akamatsu and Mister (Y/N) (L/N)!"

The crowd cheered, and you grabbed the microphone while Kaede took her place at the piano. She began playing a soft, melodic tune. You began singing at your entrance, and it was a romantic song. At the end the crowd went wild, and both you and Kaede were looking into each other's eyes. You walked off the stage, holding hands. The two of you felt legendary.

"That was an amazing performance!" You complimented both of you.

"Yeah, it was so much fun performing with someone else for a change! And since it was you, that made it a lot more fun!" Kaede agreed.

The two of you went backstage with the rest of the contestants, but there were mostly couples making out in corners and others ignoring them in the center. Keebo and Miu, Shuichi and Kokichi, Tenko and Himiko... even Gonta and Tsumugi were making out?!

"Uh..." You and Kaede froze at the horrifying sight.

"Heeey Kaedeee! *Hic* What's going *hic* oooooonn?" Kokichi asked, holding a beer bottle.

You then noticed the smell of alcohol and realized that Kokichi most likely got everyone drunk. Well, that explained everything.

"Let's go somewhere else..." You grabbed Kaede's hand and you walked a little ways away from the scene backstage, but enough to still hear what was going on.

"Well, going back about that, yeah, a good performance," Kaede quickly spoke as if trying to forget whatever the hell the two of you had just seen.

"Yeah, I uh... really liked doing that kinda thing with you. Maybe another time we need to make a song together," You also spoke as quickly as you could.

"And now for the results!
In third place...
Rantaro Amami and Ryoma Hoshi!"

Applause.

"In second place...
Nagito Komaeda and Makoto Naegi!"

More applause.

"And in first place, the grand prize winners...!
...
...
Kaede Akamatsu and (Y/N) (L/N)!"

You both ran onstage as the crowd cheered, and you were both given a plaque showing your first place. You grabbed it and held it carefully, and you both looked at it in awe. It looked beautiful.

"Please give one more round of applause for our winners!"

The crowd cheered some more, and after that you returned backstage.

"Wow, we got first place!" Kaede exclaimed.

"I know, that's so shocking! Well, I mean, we did do a good performance together," You smiled at her.

"Aw, shut up," Kaede smiled back, and you two walked to a secluded place.

"As a little celebration..." You kissed Kaede on the lips quickly, not giving her time to react.

"That was a weak celebration," Kaede huffed slightly, and pulled you in for a kiss that turned into a makeout session.
