The reader is actually female but dresses as a guy. The requestor DID specify a reason and I will be using that reason here.

Plus, this will take place during the killing game.

(B/N) stands for Boy's Name. It's the male name you're called by to help people think you're a guy.

Everybody thought you were a male, even though your voice was somewhat higher in pitch. However, through taking supplements, you had lowered the pitch of your voice enough so people believed you were a guy, plus you had also grown more of the muscle build a male had.

By now in this game, everyone treated you as a guy and there was a girl's night but you weren't invited because everyone thinks you're a guy.

"Hey, (B/N)! We're having a guys get-together tonight cuz the girls had theirs! You're gonna come, right?" Kaito asked.

"Oh, um, sorry, I'm busy tonight," You shook your head.

"Oh, that's fine! We'll just invite you again some other time, alright?" Kaito still smiled.

"Okay!" You nodded and smiled, pretending to be happy at getting another chance.

You didn't feel comfortable pretending to be a guy at the time, but you had to. You loved your mother dearly, and this was what she wanted.

"I can't believe I birthed a girl! I love you so much, but I wish we had a guy... we're so poor and we don't have any guys in the house because your father left... I feel so vulnerable without a guy around to protect the house!"

"I'll become a guy, mom."

"But you're a girl! You can't become a guy!"

You proved her wrong. Because now, even though you were biologically female, you didn't respond to that anymore. You had even started using men's restrooms because you looked so masculine and it would be weird for you to use the girl's.

"Hey! Degenerate male, I'm talking to you!" Tenko snapped you out of your thoughts. She looked like she was clearly not willingly here, which made you curious.

"Oh, uh, sorry. Hey... Why are you here?" You tilted your head to the side.

"Himiko made a magic spell that can switch your gender! And she decided to make you the test subject to turn you into a female!" Tenko explained, and began dragging you to Himiko's research lab.

"Wait! Tenko! I have something to tell you!" You fought against her grip.

"Uuugh, what?!" Tenko snapped at you, still thinking you were a guy.

"I-I'm... I'm already a girl," You whispered.

"Whaaaaaat?!" Tenko then shook her head, "You're lying! That is classic degenerate male behavior!"

"No, really! I'm a girl! How can I prove it without being lewd...?" You thought to yourself.

"Your Monopad! It shows your gender!" Tenko grabbed your Monopad and looked at the profile it had made for you. Sure enough, the gender it displayed was female.

"But... why would you dress as a guy?!" Tenko demanded, handing you your Monopad.

"Because my mother... wanted a guy. She almost... hated me for it. So... I tried changing who I was..." You explained, feeling everything pour back.

"You worthless child! Why did I ever say I love you?! Of course I fucking hate you for being a dumbass girl! You said you were going to change but you didn't, you stupid bitch!"

SLAP!

"Oh... oh my god!"

You ran away as fast as you could. Tears pricked your eyes making your vision blurry. But you had to get away.

"No! (Y/N), I...- I'm so sorry!"

You began crying as you told Tenko your story, and for the first time, she hugged you. You hugged her back, feeling safe. For the first time in a long while, you felt safe.

"Then... (B/N) isn't your real name, is it?" Tenko asked.

"No, it's not. My real name... is (Y/N)."

"(Y/N)... I like that name."

Tenko was a little weird, but at least you were now friends and your secret was out to somebody.
