ROBIN

NotADamsel10: Be honest with me.

RaisedByWolves90: Oookay...

NotADamsel10: Were you stalking me last night?

RaisedByWolves90: Whoa! That's a pretty serious allegation.

NotADamsel10: Don't try to act dumb.

RaisedByWolves90: I have no idea what you're talking about 🤔

NotADamsel10: The people I hate after liars are the ones who take me for a fool.

RaisedByWolves90: I never said you were a fool. A bit short-tempered maybe, but a fool you are not 🤭

NotADamsel10: I know it was you last night who bumped into me in the grocery store parking lot. I don't know how you got my location, but I'm sure it was you!

RaisedByWolves90 is typing 💬

RaisedByWolves90: How are you so goddamn sure?

NotADamsel10: I have read and heard of stories where people get into conversations with creepy strangers on the dark web and then get stalked or followed.

RaisedByWolves90: See, now you're offending me by calling me creepy.

NotADamsel10: Just admit it was you!

RaisedByWolves90 is typing 💬

RaisedByWolves90: okay, you got me 😬

NotADamsel10: WTF?!!!!

NotADamsel10: ARE U FUCKIN SERIOUS?!!!!

RaisedByWolves90: You just asked me to admit it.

RaisedByWolves90: Lose the shouty caps.

NotADamsel10: How did you know where I was? Did you freakin hack my computer?

RaisedByWolves90: You're stereotyping the dark web. Not everyone there are hackers, y'know.

NotADamsel10: Right, some of them are potential kidnappers, murderers, sadists, and masochists.

RaisedByWolves90: I don't need a lecture about a masochist from you.

NotADamsel10: Are you calling me a masochist?

RaisedByWolves90: I don't know anyone who is willing to be bound, tied, and gagged of their own free will without enjoying 1% of that pain.

NotADamsel10: You know what? This conversation is over.

I was fuming, mostly because this guy was not only able to read my mind but he was getting under my skin by continuously throwing darts on a bullseye. If he was right in front of me, I'd want to punch his face.

RaisedByWolves90: Hey wait! I didn't mean it like that.

RaisedByWolves90: If it makes you feel any better, I'm kind of a sadist. I'll admit.

NotADamsel10: 🙄

RaisedByWolves90: I like making people uncomfortable, I like watching them squirm under my stare and I love tormenting them.

My heart pounded hard against my chest. That's exactly what he was doing outside the grocery store, making me squirm, intimidating me. It was part of his fun.

Gosh, what have I gotten myself into?

RaisedByWolves90: I'm admitting who I am so you wouldn't have a problem understanding me when we play.

RaisedByWolves90: I didn't hack your computer. Your YouChat ID location is turned on. I got curious and followed the address. Took me an hour to get there.

RaisedByWolves90: That's how most predators prey on unsuspecting naïve women.

RaisedByWolves90: You still there? 🧐

RaisedByWolves90: I thought you said you're a tough girl who's not easily scared.

RaisedByWolves90: Looks like that bravado is faltering slowly 😂

NotADamsel10: Fuck off!

NotADamsel10: I'm right here smartass. I was just taking my time to analyze what you have said.

I don't know how this guy managed to irritate me and intrigue me in equal measures.

RaisedByWolves90: Great. I thought you went to sleep in your little crib.

NotADamsel10: 🖕🏼🖕🏼🖕🏼

NotADamsel10: I don't think it's fair how you caught me off-guard last night, and you got to see my face. I did not see yours!

RaisedByWolves90: That was part of the game, Robin.

NotADamsel10: You said the game starts in one week!

RaisedByWolves90: I lied.

RaisedByWolves90: what's the fun in planning it all out when I could just raise the stakes?

RaisedByWolves90: You were scared last night, weren't you? You wanted to run away from me.

NotADamsel10: I have so many colorful expletives for you.

RaisedByWolves90: Well, save them for later when you really need to use them. I wasn't going to hurt you. I never intended to. I was just curious as to how you would react.

He likes having control.

NotADamsel10: Whatever.

I was second guessing my decision of going forward with this. Apart from the fact that he was a complete and total lunatic, he seemed like a dangerous person when I met him last night. He had the intimidation down, not to forget the fear he invoked inside me. It was the real kind of fear where I had an urge to run and hide. There was the—

RaisedByWolves90: You felt the adrenaline rush last night, didn't you?

NotADamsel10: What makes you think that?

RaisedByWolves90: Am I wrong to assume that?

NotADamsel10: You scared me!

RaisedByWolves90: You can never experience this with anyone else.

RaisedByWolves90: You like being scared and I like scaring people. I think we're a match made in hell.

NotADamsel10: We'll find out soon.

RaisedByWolves90: Sure, we will.

RaisedByWolves90: Have you read the set of rules I sent you?

NotADamsel10: I did.

RaisedByWolves90: Let me know if you disagree with a rule or if you'd like to add something to the list.

NotADamsel10: I think most of the rules are fair.

NotADamsel10: But I need to clarify Rule number three. Captor has the right to keep the Captive locked up. I'm claustrophobic and can't be locked in a box or a coffin like a cage.

RaisedByWolves90: Alright, noted. Is that it?

NotADamsel10: Yes, mostly.

RaisedByWolves90: Great. You're a lot more accommodating than I gave you credit for.

NotADamsel10: Well, it is a game. If I try to get too comfortable then there's no use in playing.

RaisedByWolves90: It's a week from now. Are you excited?

NotADamsel10: Kind of? You?

RaisedByWolves90: Ecstatic.

NotADamsel10: Probably planned a lot of things in that big perverse head of yours.

RaisedByWolves90: Mostly just filthy things I wanna do to you.

Instead of feeling my skin crawl, I felt my flesh tingle with heat. What was wrong with me? Why couldn't I be more like everyone else?

I imagined Gage's large imposing body dominating me completely. If by the end of this game, I hadn't spiraled into madness, I'd come back as a winner. Gage was a good distraction from everything that was fucked up in my life.

And I'd noticed that since the last few days that I began chatting with him, I would loosen up more, smile, and laugh even which was an impossible occurrence in my life. Ironic how a complete stranger, a potential psychopath had managed to divert my attention.

My mind was now completely focused on this dangerous game we'd agreed to play.

RaisedByWolves90: Looks like you're sleeping with Mommy and Daddy tonight. Did they tuck you in too? 👨‍👩‍👧

I laughed. I wanted to see what this alpha male looked like. I'd gotten a gist of what he looked like. Not to be shallow but it seemed like he had a gorgeous body. (Okay, I admit. I'm a shallow person), if anything, it was just a cherry on the top.

NotADamsel10: They did. Also, read me Little Red Riding Hood. That story about a big bad wolf who wants to eat the girl.

RaisedByWolves90: I see what you did that.

RaisedByWolves90: pleasure talking. Gtg. Have a good night, Robin.

NotADamsel10: G'Night.

A melancholy settled inside me as I exited the app. I was back to reality, another night of living inside my head. Another night of taking the sleeping pills so I wouldn't have to keep seeing Jude's head getting blown off by a gun. If I ever skipped those medications, I'd live inside the nightmare, a never-ending tunnel with no light at the end of it.

Part of the reason why Jude killed himself was probably me. We got along sometimes, but he didn't understand me.

So playing Gage's games was therapy. I wanted to terrorize myself so bad that I'd forget the past and live in the present. Most people might think I'm crazy, and probably I am but every individual have different ways of dealing with pain.

In the next few days that passed, I was chatting with Gage every once in a while, but it wasn't frequent. I couldn't stop being wary of my surroundings every time I was outside, I constantly felt like I was being watched or followed. I might as well have handed out free stalker invites.

Something like 'Hey, what's your hobby? Is it stalking? Perfect! Here, let me give you a free invite. I'm open to creepy stalkers twenty-four seven.'

Ugh!

There was a message on my phone. It was from Kimberly.

Kim: There's a new movie released, wanna go for it together?

Kimberley used to be my best friend, 'used to be' are the operative words because we hardly hung out anymore. I guess it was pity on her part that she still wanted to remain friends. I was hungry for attention so I took whatever affection I could get from people.

As I said, I'm a screwed-up person.

Kim and I met in law school, we took the same courses together. The difference is, I dropped out, and she continued with it. Kimberly was everything I wasn't. She was a goody-two-shoes who did whatever her parents wanted her to. Good influences, good grades, buttoned-up clothes, no short skirts. If we stood next to each other, she'd look like an embodiment of an angel, one with ahalo and wings. I on the other hand, I'd be a vixen in leather clothing, horns growing on my head, holding a pitchfork.

We drifted apart eventually but remained good friends. The frequent sleepovers had turned to one phone call per week, maybe a girls hang out once a month if we were both free.

My ex-boyfriend's death had allowed me to be on the receiving end of a lot of sympathies. They didn't realize that I didn't need the 'oh poor you' eyes peering at me every now and then.

I wanted to get on with my life, not be constantly reminded of my past.

My phone started ringing cutting my trip to memory lane.

It was a call from an unknown number.
