Queen Extravagant called a tribe meeting in the morning. The whole tribe was there, buzzing excitedly. The announcements were all the same. Dip in the fruit gathering, dart making is going down by a lot. Honeydew, Lemon, Okapi, and Cocoa were all walking home from the meeting, chatting. 

"Why does a flamingo only stand on one leg?" Honeydew said, trying out his new joke. 

"Why?" Cocoa said, leaning forward. 

"Because otherwise, it would fall down!" Honeydew fell over laughing, but Okapi just stood there, blinking. 

"What? I don't get it." Okapi said. Lemon looked at Okapi indignantly. 

"Why? It was pretty obvious." Lemon said, looking Okapi up and down with piercing eyes. Okapi frowned, glaring at Lemon.

"Hey, hey calm down, it was just a joke." Honeydew said, smiling. But he was a teeny bit mad that Okapi said he wasn't funny. He looked at Okapi, trying to change the subject.

"So." He said, nudging him. "I hear you're the new healer now!" Okapi looked at him. 

"Yeah." By then, they were at the hut. 

"Bye!" Honeydew waved cheerfully at Okapi, Lemon, and Cocoa. He walked to his own hut, laying down.

Okapi yawned, laying down on the bed. He fell asleep swiftly. A sleep deep without dreams. Suddenly, he felt himself being dragged along the ground. His talons were tied together, as were his wings and his tail. Okapi sat up, but the cloaked figure simply kept dragging him...to...the...river. RIVER! Okapi couldn't swim. Okapi tried to pull his talons out, but they were bound tightly. The cloaked figure picked Okapi up, dragged him by the tail over to the river and threw him in. Okapi struggled for a minute, trying to pull his talons free. Breath was beginning to pinch at his throat as the ropes snapped suddenly. He surged painfully up to the surface, flapping around for a moment before dragging himself out of the water, coughing. What just happened? The cloaked figure was gone.
