Chapter~ 14 'A Family'

Eleanor's Point of View:

I was shocked, to say the least. My legs were wobbling and so were my hands. It's weird how things can transform from mood to mood ever so quickly. I was scared. I was petrified.

The doctors and nurses rushed in and the first thought that came in my mind was that it's over. Another beautiful, kind soul will leave this horrible world. Heaven will gain another angel.

We all broke down to tears. Then, a second later, Jessica fell down on the floor. Her body came crashing down with a 'Thud'. I screamed in shock and ran to her side. Words that made no sense fell out of my trembling mouth. Louis and Niall came rushing beside me, the cascade of tears falling freely.

It's odd how a person that you've known for a couple of days could be such an important person to you. Another VIP in your life. Do you know what's even more strange? That that person is now slowly leaving it.

How can life be so unfair? How can a kind-hearted person leave life that easily? The world needs these kinds of people. People who do nothing in life but care and care. They smile at everyone like it's their job to do so. They listen to you even though they need listening themselves. Anyone would be very lucky and proud to have a person like that in their life.

Sometimes, I wish life was a fairy tale. A fairy tale where you can save a person by having one sincere tear of yours fall on them. Where you can save them by singing their favorite song or talking to them until they're awake and healthy. Like nothing ever happened to them. However, sadly, life is just an awful, unfair game. Either you play it professionally and win with ease, or make terrible mistakes only to find two bold words appear in front of you.

Game Over.

I don't even understand why Taylor is still alive. Why haven't I killed her yet? Made her pay for what she did to a completely innocent person like Isabella? If I wouldn't go to jail, Taylor would have been killed since the day she took Isabella's life away. She's so ruthless. Selfish. Mean.

People like her should be extinct.

The device went back to normal again. The faint sound of beeping was sound and steady, which made me cry even more. 'Why cry?', you may be asking. Well, one, Isabella is still alive, which we are very thankful to God for. Two, she still hasn't woken up, which is a reason to cry out loud. And three, Jessica fainted. She's right in front of me, between my two hands.

I'm scared. We know that Isabella is alive, but she hasn't woken up. It's already 11:25 am. Thirty-five minutes left. The clock is ticking. Tic-Tock is all we hear.

Tic-Tock.

Tic-Tock.

Tic-Tock.

The doctors took Jessica away from me and laid her down on the hospital bed next to Isabella's. I stood up and went over to my chair. We sat there, crying our eyes off. The guys aren't even ashamed of crying in front of anyone. It just shows how much they really took Izzy and Jess as real sisters.

The fans must be sick worried about the boys. They keep on sending tweets about how they suddenly disappeared, and the boys tweet back that it's just family problems and everything will come back to normal soon. The only problem is, the fans know everything. They can easily find out about what really happened.

The girls aren't ready for hate.

The door opened, which snapped me back to reality. A tall person with golden hair and over-makeup emerged from behind the door. One word. One ugly name.

Taylor.

"Oh my God!" She whispered covering her mouth with her hands.

It's now that I realized how bad she is at acting. She looked at Jessica, then us.

"What happened?" She asked, faking a frown.

"Why do you even care?!" I snapped at her.

"I came to say sorry." She looked at us, trying to look innocent.

Well, she did a lousy job.

"Save it. You did enough," Delilah replied, sniffing in-between her words.

"Please, forgive me. It was an accident. I didn't mean it at all!" She dared to lie.

"Ha-ha, very funny. You might have got is the first time, but not this one. You will never be forgiven. You killed, well almost killed an innocent girl. How more selfish can you get?" Perrie snapped back.

I swear I feel like going over to Taylor to slap her. Punch her. Kill her. Make her regret every move she did on Isabella.

"I-" She started, but Margret interrupted her.

"I thought you changed," She whispered, hurt written on her voice. "But I was wrong, again. I can't believe you. You... you know what? Just go. Go!"

"Fine, I'll go. But don't say I didn't apologize."

And with that, she went away, closing the door behind her.

I hope I never see her face again. How funny. She apologized thinking it would do anything. As if it will bring Izzy back to life. As if.

It's 11:35 now. Twenty-five more minutes left. Only Twenty-five.

Delilah's Point of View:

We just sat there, crying and waiting. Hoping and Praying.

Minutes passed in silence, until the doctors came in to check on Isabella. They took their tests and went away as if nothing happened. Like we weren't even there. They just left us behind. Sad and miserable.

Every minute that passed felt like years, but we still waited. I went over to Isabella and sat next to her. They say that when you talk to people in a coma, they can hear you. So, I whispered in her ears. Things we all want to make her hear. Things like 'Wake up, Izzy. Please.' and 'We need you here. We need you with us.'

I talked and talked for what seemed like decades. After a while, she twitched.

Isabella twitched.

I gasped.

She sighed.

I covered my mouth with my hands.

She coughed.

I sobbed.

Her eyes fluttered open.

I yelled.

"She's awake!"

Everybody turned to look at her. Their eyes widened and they all ran to her side. They hugged her, crying and crying. She, too, had tears in her eyes.

We all cried together. We cried the tears of joy.

"I've missed you," her voice cracked as she whispered. We all missed her voice. We missed it so much.

Thank God.

"Oh, Isabella! We missed you even more! You can't even imagine how sorry we are! We thought you'd never wake up! Oh, Izzy!" I hugged her tight, never wanting to let go. But I knew the others wanted to hug her as well. So, I slowly pulled away, giving them a chance. They all hugged her. Squeezed her. Missed her. One by one.

She looked beside her. "J-Jessica, she's... why-"

"She's fine. She just fainted. Now, let's get you cleaned so that but the time you come back, you'd be ready to see her. She missed you, terribly," Perrie assured her. Isabella nodded and followed Perrie's lead.

I'm so happy, full of joy. I feel like jumping up and down. I feel screaming and sticking my tongue out at all the negative thoughts that flooded my mind before Isabella woke up.

Isabella is now awake, and Jessica will be, too.

We're back as a family.
