"Jungkook."

When I drop my hands on his shoulder, he flinches so hard that the papers clutched in his fingers flutter to the floor. The shocked look on his face makes a giggle escape my lips, and I throw my arms around his shoulders.

"You're getting loose." I laugh, and he still has that shaken look in his eyes as he slowly gets to his feet.

"I'm growing loose?" He says, and a half-shriek bursts from my lips as he flips me over his shoulder. The look of surprise morphs into a devilish smirk.

What the heck?

"Let me down!" I gasp, my arms tightening around his neck. When he sways me to the side, my eyes grow into circles and I instinctively wrap my legs around his waist.

"Wait—"

"You baby." He smiles as he clasps my face with his fingers, pressing his lips against mine. "I have to work."

"I'll help you." I say, and he pulls and twists the strands of my brown hair as he shifts my body to the front of him. "You know, I used to do the paperwork for the—"

"Don't worry about it."

Then still clutching me to his figure, he throws himself to the bed. My hands reflexively reach for his hair, and I feign gasping when he crushes me to his chest.

His breathing is soft as it evens against my skin, and I breathe in surprise.

"........."

"Are you asleep?" I ask, trying to get a look at his face as his arms tighten. When he groans softly, I laugh and start rubbing my hands on his bunny cheeks.

He suddenly sits up, pins my wrists down.

"You can't keep your hands off of me." He says with dark amusement, one of his eyes slanted into a crooked crescent. "You can't stop touching me, can you? Am I that—"

"Don't convince yourself." I say, flicking his forehead with my free arm. "It's obvious you're the one that's doing that."

"One night."

With a confident look on his face, he kisses my lips. "One night of no touching each other, no seeing each other. You can do that, right?"

"Of course I can!" I exclaim, tugging myself up from the mattress and sticking out a tongue at him. "You just kissed me— I know you're going to lose."

"I have never lost anything in my entire life." He states, his eyes sparkling with the gaze that an adult might give a child. "What are you taking me for?"

"Shadow~" I call when I see the figure of the boy rush across the doorway of my room. It was almost eleven, a bit into night. "Wait."

"Did you see your brother?"

"Hyung is sitting on his bed and doing nothing." Shadow says, and I nearly burst into laughter as he flops onto my bed. "He's just staring into space— I saw him while I was coming here."

"Thanks." I answer, can't believing how cute he could get sometimes. "It's eleven, Shadow. Go to sleep."

"Why did you ask?" He says, poking his head out cutely at me. I laugh again, just because it's so clear that he doesn't want to go to sleep.

"We're doing a game."

"It's called one night."

"One night?" Shadow mumbles curiously to himself as he leaves, and I flick the lights off after making sure he's gotten to his room safely. The corridors could be scary when it was dark.

The coldness of the blankets make any expression grow bitter, and I mentally slap myself. I wasn't going to lose this easily— it had barely been an hour.

"Why did he make this dumb game up anyways?" I grumble to myself, hugging the blankets into a cold pile to my chest and pressing my cold feet against the mattress. If he was here, I would've been warm and my feet would be pressed against his back.

It makes me smile when I recall him protesting sleepily the last time I had done that.

"Idiot....." I mumble as I flop on my back, eyes wandering around the white ceiling. It was uncomfortable— different. I'd gotten used to feeling the firmness of his hand against my back, his even breathing when he fell asleep.

Now there was only coldness, and I glance instinctively out the door hoping for his faint silhouette when I get up to get another cardigan to wrap around my arms.

Should I just get up quickly and check?

But I push that thought away, my cheeks heating at how I was acting. He could be not minding this situation at all, and here I was staring at the open door and waiting.

I wake up with a surprised gasp when something heavy drops on top of me, knocking the wind out of my chest.

A confused murmur escapes my lips when I see a dark figure climbing into my bed, two pairs of blue eyes set into familiar features.

A bright laugh escapes my lips when I see who it is.

"Well, that was over quick." I murmur, brushing his dark locks from his forehead when he reaches for me urgently. My lips curve upwards in a sleepy smile when he hugs me tight to his chest.

Then I feel him shaking, and I sit up in shock, then realization.

"Did you have nightmares?"

"Shut up." He whispers, and I burst into harder laughter as I press my palms on his flushed cheeks. It's only been an hour since I fell asleep, only midnight.

His breathing is uneven against my collarbone, and from the way I can feel cold sweat on my hands wrapped around the back of his neck, he'd had a bad nightmare.

This was precious.

"Stop." Jungkook suddenly mumbles, his racing heart eventually settling. His eyes shine a deep blue in the moonlight, and I realize they are tearstained from the nightmare. "I can hear your thoughts, Lyr."

I pull my sleeves down to my hands and gently press them on his eyes, making him draw back in embarrassment.

"You can?"

"Sometimes." He breathes, his voice quiet. "It can be so obvious."

"So what do I get for winning?" I say jokingly, sneakily pressing my feet against his warm skin. His eyes flicker to me for a brief moment, but he doesn't say anything else as his hands close around my wrists.

"Nothing."

"You have my love, though."

"True." I laugh, shifting to lie on my back. "It isn't easy to get that at all, is it?"

Memories flash through my mind, recalling the beginning. It was really not easy at all to get his love. Like, abnormally hard.

"What would you have given me if I had won?" He whispers, and I pretend to think thoughtfully for a long second before pecking his lips.

"That."

"That's it?" He asks, and I burst into soft giggles at his serious expression. Still smiling, I flick his forehead.

"For your information, you're the one who lost, you know." I say lightly, tucking the corners of the blankets over his shoulders. "And come closer. You don't want to be cold, do you?"

Hesitation is the first emotion I see flicker on his face, which soon turns into uncertainty. Finally, he lets me pull him further into the middle.

"I still have this." I say, pointing at the mark on the side of my neck. It's faint, but visible. "You know how much Jimin teased me for it?"

He doesn't answer, his lips pushed out together in disappointment.

"Fine, you ungrateful rabbit."

"You asked for it."

"Ahahahaha!"

Jungkook flushes red, the scarlet of his cheeks matching the thick shirt he's wearing. I hide my laughter as Jimin falls off his chair.

"Now both of you match!" He exclaims, pointing at the two of us. "There are mark—"

Then the door suddenly swings open, revealing a little girl, barely looking five. Snow decorates her hazel brown hair, scarf wrapped loosely around her thin neck.

"C-Can you help me please?"
