I want to speak out

But I can't bring myself to say anything

My lips do not move

A faint hello stays on my tongue

I can't even meet your eyes

I should not have this problem

But my words shake unsteadily

I try to form a sentence

But fail to convey my thoughts

I can only hope desperately

That you will see past this

See my eyes and their need, their story

And that you will understand me
