I felt Devasena's wedding saree wasn't as good or grand as the other ones she wore so a funny take on how she ends up wearing that saree. The dialogues are inspired from Bhalla-Deva confrontation (BB1), the court room and seemantham ( baby shower ) scenes from BB2.

Usually the wedding saree will be given to the bride from groom's side. I don't know the custom of Mahishmathi but let's just assume elders Sivagami and Bijjala go to give the marriage clothes to Deva&Bahu. Devasena's family, Kattapa and Bhalla are present too.

Note : The dialogues are written in Tamil and Telugu. I have the translations in brackets.

Sivagami gives Baahu's clothes to him. He happily accepts it and bows down to her in his usual way.Sivagami gives Devasena her saree.

De looks at the saree and frowns.

De mv : Kalyana ponnu naanu, enaku indha 'buy 2 get 1 free' offer la kedaicha 'free' pudavaiya thallivittutu avanga mattum pudavai vilambarathula vara model mathiri pattu uduthi vandhirukangale...hmm idha vidakoodathu..( I am the bride, instead of giving me the best saree this lady has pushed me the 'free' saree from the 'buy 2 get 1 free' offer and herself flaunting in a silk saree as if a saree ad model hmm I shouldn't leave this.)

Devasena looks at Baahu who is standing beside her with a huge grin on his face, excited like a kid and feeling the clothes given to him by his mother.She hits her forehead.

De mv : Sutham ! De: Nillungal Rajamatha...indha pudavaiyai neengal aniveergala ? (Wait Rajamatha, would you wear this saree ?)😡

Si : Devasenai !!! 😡😡

Sivagami glares at Devasena. Bijjaladeva noticing the tension intervenes to fuel the situation.

Bi : Engal kula vazhakam unaku teriyathu Devasenai, engal arasakudumbathu puthiya marumagal idhai dhan aniyavendum...(You don't know our customs Devasena. In our royal family the new dil has to wear this.)

De : Saaku ! Andru ungal mootha maganuku penn kettapothu thanga noolaal neitha pudavaigalai anupineergal Bahubali pondra maaveeranin manaivikku mattum intha ora vanjanaiya ? Neengal mattum pattu peethambarathil Pothys model pola minukka vendum naan ithai kattikondu sumaraga nirka vendum idhu dhane ungal ennam ? (Excuses! When you sent the proposal for your eldest son you sent the best collection of sarees but this inequality to the great warrior Bahubali's wife ?You want to look your best but I have to look ordinary, isn't that your intention? )

Ba : Devasena...

He tries to calm her but Devasena is in no mood to heed his words. She turns to him in anger,

(All those assembled here are shining in the finest clothes and accessories except you and me, the bride and groom. What have you got to say for this ?)

*Blinking at her innocently*(What is there for me to tell, Rama garu and Prashanti have to tell.)

De : En viruppam dhan ungal viruppam endru ungal whatsapp status-il update seithirukirargal, modhalil adhai niraivetrungal. (You have updated your whatsaap status as "De your wish is my wish" first fulfill that.)

She strides in anger to her dressing area.Bhalla enters the scene.

Bh: Devasenai, unaku naan oru parisu kondu vandhirukiren.(Devasena, I got a gift for you.)

Bhalla presents her with an exquisite saree. He goes to her and whispers,

Bh : Ondru soll devasenai, endravathu eppothavadhu idhu pondra oru arputhamana pudavaiyai kunthalathilo irundhapotho allathu mahishmathiku unnai azhaithu vandha pirago andha Baahu vaangi koduthirukirana ? Baahu unnai marandhuvitaan devasenai..
(Tell me one thing Devasena, has Baahu ever got you this kind of a saree either in when you were in Kunthala or Mahishmati, he has forgotten you.)

She turns to look at him.

De : Ellarum pakuranga solla vendiyadha methuva solluren - Nee ippothan Bhalla,naan unaku munadiye Jejamma...konnuduven ! En purushan oda annan endrathala innum pesikitu irukken illati nadakarthe vera. Naane mokka pudavaiya koduthutanganu kadupula irukken veriyethama idha eduthutu gummnu poyee un Amma pakkathula nillu. (All are watching us so I'll say it hush tones - You are Bhalla only now, I was Jejamma before that..I'll kill you ! I am still talking because you are my husband's brother if not it would have been another story. As it is I am irked about the dumb saree, don't infuriate me further. Just take this and quietly go stand next to your mother.)

Bhalla gets the shock of his life at the unexpected retort and he freaks out but still maintains his stature outside. With his head bent he walks to stand beside his mother clenching the saree in his fist.

Sivagami breathes fire seeing Bhalla's flushed face.

Ba mv : Haiyoo ivan vera, ava characteraa purinjikama...Jattiyula onnuku pona mathiri moonjiya vechirukardhula irunthe teriyuthu avakitta nalla bulb vangiyirukkanu

Ba : Aama nalla thairyatha kodutha idhuku andha kilikili payale theyvalam..poyaa yov poyaa ( Oh yeah.. the kilikili guy@Kalakeya was better than this get lost just get lost !)

Ba : Amma... adhu..vandhu Devasenaiku andha pudavai pidikavillai.. aval virupame en viruppam ena status update seithullen Amma
(Mom..I..Devasena didn't like the saree..I have updated my status as 'her wish is my wish' Amma...)

Sivagami glares at him.

Bhalla taps Bijjala's shoulders and he makes his move.

Bi : Status update seithirukiranam. Enna periya status, endravathu 'amma un viruppam dhan en viruppam' endru status irunthadha ? Parthayaa sivagami, paal ootiyaa unakaga pesuvathai viduthu vandhavalin pechai kettu avalukaga pesa vanthirukiran. (Updated his status it seems. What big deal is that ? Has there ever been 'amma your wish is my wish' in his status ?Saw that Sivagami, instead of talking for the mother who fed him milk he is talking on behalf of his to-be wife.)

Sivagami storms out of the room all leave the place except Bahu and Deva.

A hairbrush comes flying hits Baahu hard on his head. He yelps and turns to see a furious Devasena.

De : How dare you say to her that I would wear this dull saree on my wedding ????😡😡

Baahu : Darlingey ori na darlingey, darlingey endhi ee feeling eh ?😍

And there Devasena loses the battle! She blushes but still not convinced. Seizing the chance he goes to her and holds her hand.

Ba : See Devuuu, the option kept before me was 2 sarees, Bhalla's or Amma's would you wear Bhalla's saree?

De : Chi...of course not !

Ba : Yeah, I know my Devasena. That's why I chose Amma's saree.

De : You could have rejected both ! 😏

Ba: Aithe yaadunde taali I wanna make you Aali..

De: Give me my taali my life is gaali gaali !!
