Hello lovelies and welcome back to your favorite gossip column written by your favorite tea-spiller, Sandra Diez!

We are back at it again with the latest updates regarding America's number one dating show: Date Me If You Can!

While Season Five has yet to air--and will do so in a few days might I add--there lies a place to reflect, predict, assess, and to, of course, spill the tea.

Season Five feature 40 contestants, 20 males and 20 females. This, of course, isn't much of a surprise. Part of the show's charm is the variety of contestants and the abundance of drama between 20 pairs.

However, this season features celebrities, so ramp up that drama to the max. Yes folks, this season is going to be as dramatic as they come! But as always, we're here for it. We thrive on it, more or less. As always, we will be closely following the show and soaking up every ounce of drama found between pairs.

Sandra Diez is always watching, lovelies. And unlike most people, I'll save the sugar coating and get straight to the beef. I give the people what they want, even if it's at your own expense. Don't act surprised, you did sign up for this after all.

The contestants--while all considered celebrities one way or another--are a diverse group of interesting individuals. For especially close followers of the show in the past, you'll be delighted to know some of the contestants from last season have decided to come back in an attempt to succeed where they previously failed. Perhaps Arshia ( princess-myrah ) will find a match who can tolerate his childish nature, and perhaps Evelyn ( prittyprincess- ) will find her prince charming, something she failed to do last time. Or maybe Benjamin would get lucky this season? ( curiouser_and_ ) Regardless, it was a nice surprise to see familiar faces.

But all the news faces? Just an opportunity for drama! The cast is better than ever. Grab your popcorn and allow yourselves to be entertained, because I can foresee a variety of juicy gossip, spicy encounters, and boiling drama.

Stay tuned for more regarding the contestants once they've all been formally introduced. After that? The tea will be spilled, as it always is.

But I know you lovelies are always looking for what's new, and I'm pleased to inform you all of some recent developments.

Let's start with our resident Queen Bee. No, not me, though I'm flattered you all would think so. No, I mean no other than Amanda Larsen ( musicbeastly ). The infamous host of Date Me If You Can have run the roost for so long, and done such a great job of entertaining America. It's almost a shame she's threatening to quit!

That's right! You heard it here first folks! Rumour has it that she's been cat-fighting with the producers and the staff. There have been numerous altercations and numerous threats from the host herself, insisting on her quitting and walking out altogether. We knew Amanda Larsen was fiery, but who knew she'd take it this far?!

With tensions at an all-time high, I wonder if there will be evidence in the way she hosts this new season. And what should happen if she finally puts action to her threats and walks out mid-season? There are so many questions and not enough answers! For now, let it be known that there is unrest in the Queen's Kingdom. Either she'll cut off their heads, or they'll cut of hers. Only time will tell...

Moving on, the show had introduced its guest host for this season! It was publicly announced that Shawn Bourne ( crayola32 ), one of Hollywood's rising actors and TV personalities is going to be hosting alongside Amanda Larsen! Not only is he currently one of America's biggest heartthrobs, but he's also conveniently single. 😉

It's not news to anyone that five months ago, Shawn's girlfriend of nine months, Morgan Abrams ( an international model ) broke up with him for Xander Briggs (a movie director twice her age! ) All we have to say is it's definitely her loss!

It has also notably been rumoured that from the one meeting Amanda Larsen and Shawn Bourne have had didn't exactly go the smoothest. Reports suggest the two found themselves butting heads a little. Perhaps due to the already built-up tension on set? Perhaps. Only time will tell how suited they are to working as a team. While none of us could forget the lovely Brion Channing ( the guest host of season four ) we wish Shawn Bourne the best of luck in trying to fill Brion's shoes. It certainly won't be easy!
