I had imagined so many things in life: happiness, graduation, a small family filled with devotion. But where was I? in an elevator with the man that threatened me with the video that revolved about us in action. He would know everything we talked about and I was tongue-tied; helpless and void.

Crying out loud to an insensitive man didn't seem like an option to me since he was so adamant about ordering me around for his benefit to killing my boyfriend. The first thing I told him was a solid 'no' and the only thing he responded was to dangle the tape in his hand with a knowing smirk.

"Why would you want to kill your partner?" I asked breathlessly. I had expected the brothers to be smart but I hadn't known that they would be that intelligent to create such an evil plan like this. My hands shook in fists on my sides as I stood near the man, wanting to punch him but his eyes were like a hawk, beaming through me.

"Because he had betrayed me with his lovely girlfriend," he looked at me to indicate a point and said, "I honestly didn't know how he was patient with me when I talked about you." He licked his lips as the elevator dinged and thankfully opened.

He had other plans as he suddenly closed the elevator doors again, making my nightmares come true. I winced at the pain that shot through my back when his arm was against my neck as he bashed my back to the elevator wall.

I cried in fear as lips came closer to mine and I was constricted between the wall and his body. My eyes caught the emergency button and quickly averted to the sleazy man, who seemed to be turned on by me as he came closer, the only solution was to press the emergency button, but I knew that he would get revenge worse than now.

My finger pressed the emergency button impressively fast before he grabbed my right hand. The blaring alarm stopped the elevator as the sounds of the I.T technicians running to the closed elevator.

"You do know that I would get back to you for this, but I commend you on your bravery to defy me," his breath on my face made me flinch from the proximity, "see you soon, Lia Maxwell." He smiled maliciously and distanced himself away from me.

As the technicians opened the door, the cold tremors sizzled through my body at the fact that he still stood beside me like we were casual acquaintances. Mr Denis went out but not before he gave me one deathly look that made me tremble even more.

"Are you alright, ma'am?" the technician questioned with worry etched on his face at my trembling form.

"Y-Y-es, I am alright." I stuttered but gained composure. I was still trembling over the fact that he was this close to raping me in an elevator, Mr. Denis was a menacing man, he treaded on serious waters. Parts of me wished that I didn't come in the first place and another was grateful that I somehow knew about their plan to kill Levy.

I rushed out to take another elevator when I was reminded of Levy. My boyfriend was on the brink of death and I was severely hand-tied by Mr. Denis but I wouldn't let anything happen to him even if I had my last breath. My fingers shivered as I tried to type a text to Levy on where he was.

"Levy, where are you?"

I was relieved that I got his reply instantly.

"I told you, I'm still at the dinner with Mr. Clarence."

"Get out of there now, I need to talk to you about something important."

"Are you having cold feet on staying here?" I had the urge to roll my eyes on this one.

"I am serious. Mr. Denis is planning your death as we speak so come back to my room quick."

"On my way."

I placed my phone in my pocket and the elevator opened to the sixth floor. Running to my room, I slid the card through the sensor and rushed in, locking the door in the process in case Mr Denis changed his mind.

It felt like this was the first time something electrifying happened in my entire life. I sounded like a loser, but it was true, Levy never involved me in his deals and protected my identity, not letting any men near me and here I was, planning on protecting him back.

I failed in Karate classes so how would I be able to protect him if something happened to him? I realized that through all the impressive quick plans I did, I was underestimating Levy's ability to fight back. I felt like I was his mother trying to find ways to end these men.

No, I was not his mom. I grimaced at my unstable thought and I took a deep breath, trying to meditate to get a proper solution for all that fiasco caused by me.

Three consecutive knocks pulled me out of a headache I was in and I didn't hesitate to check the door hole and open it for Levy. I made sure to scan the hallway and closed the door, putting the locks on.

"What did you fuck up on this time?" I could tell he only snapped at me because it was truly my fault. If I wasn't here in the first place, everything would have been discussed and closed but at the same time, they could have killed him even after their deal. The fact that the brothers' actions were mistified worried me endlessly.

"I didn't do anything, they put a mini webcam on the side of the room and threatened me to expose the tape to the rest of their gang on the condition that I would kill you," I explained with a wild and beating heart.

"We are in trouble." He stated with disheveled hair and dark eyes.
