The evening was beginning to get colder.

It was still plenty warm, 

But the sun's ray's had long since disappeared.

The first stars were forming in the sky.

The night was beginning to get cold

The heat of the day was long gone

And in my thin cloak,

Cold had a hold on me

It was freezing in the night

The sky was just beginning to lighten

It would be hours yet

before the sun was high overhead

-

The day was warming up

As the sun rose in the sky

I had shed my cloak

It was simply too hot

-

The day was hot

As the sun was at its peak

I'd found a creek 

And lay in the cool water

-

The day was still hot

But the sun was dipping lower

I knew that everntually

Cold would take me again

-

And the cycle continues

As the moon rises in the night

And then disappears to the sun

Again. And Again.
