Look to the sky

Look at the sun

See the roaring sea

Flowing below

Anger, Hate, Dislike

Are all useless to be now.

All I really can do

Is refuse to look down.

I will sit here

On this high cliff top

I know what I must do

The question is, Can I?

I am the last one left

The last Nature-kin

The last to stay

The last to hope

-

That we can live in the world

Of mankind

We cannot

It is imposible

-

I have tried for years

Since my sisters left

To seek their passions

In our homeland.

-

And now I must join them

And forever leave this land

I have failed in my task

To protect them.

-

But perhaps there is still hope...

But no, there is naught

And when I leave,

Maybe my magic can pass to someone else.

-

I stand

My legs sore

From sitting for so long

And I step.

-

And fall,

Gliding down.

And then a burst of light

The portal opens

-

And I tumble into the land

Of my people.

And the lands welcome me home

They shine green and gold.

-

We have given up on mankind

But perhaps...

One of those we hate

Will turn out to be the one we need.
