Walking into her house, the Elric's were amazed to see stacks of drawing, carvings in all the wood, and paintings on the furniture. "Wow, incredible! You did all of these?" Alphonse asked, admiring her art. "Mmhmm." She said, running her fingers down a carving. " You take your art seriously don't you?" Edward asked, looking around. "I take everything seriously Ed. From war to a grain of rice." She mumbled. She ran upstairs, with Tilly following behind her. "What are you doing miss?" Armstrong asked. "Giving my dog a well deserved bath. What did you feed her while I was away, her breath smells awful!" Maice said, turning on the water. Tilly hopped in, soaking herself in the soapy water. "Dog food?" Armstrong replied confused. "Jeez, have you even tasted dog food before? You trying to get my dog sick? Beef, caribou, deer, all kinds of meat is what this pretty girl deserves!" Maice said, scrubbing out the dirt from Tilly's long fur. Hours past and it was now time for dinner. Tilly had been cleaned and dried, while the brothers read Maice's books. Armstrong watched over them, keeping everything in check. "Hey, I'm gonna head out back, if you guys need me just hollar." Maice said heading out. Neither of them heard since they were deep into their books. Armstrong nodded but kept an eye on the Elric's.
"Edward, why did you bring her?" Armstrong asked. "I didn't she was heading here anyways." He replied. He kept his nose in his book as he talked, muffling his voice. "But what will you tell Mustang?" Armstrong thought. Edward's head rose. "I don't care." He said, angered. "But, brother, he'll be very upset to hear tha-"  "I don't care what that bastard thinks, when have I ever cared?" Edward interrupted. He stood up, "I'm heading outside." He said coldly. He head out, leaving his brother with Armstrong. Maice was already covered in dirt from pulling up sunflower roots from her garden. Tilly was on the opposite side, hunting down the moles that lived beneath the dirt. "Hi, Edward." Maice said digging up a chunk of roots. "Whatcha doing down here? Get bored of hanging out with Bigfoot?" She laughed. "Yah, pretty much. What are you doing?" Edward said, examining the area. "Oh, just some weeding and picking. Got three ripe tomatoes and a couple of green beans." Maice said. Tilly walked over to Edward, then dropped a rodent in his lap. "Oh, jeez, thanks." Ed said sarcastic. "What is this anyways? A mouse?" He asked. Maice giggled. "No genius! That's  a vole! I thought you were a state alchemist!" Edward through the vole into the woods beside them. "Yah, I'm a state alchemist not a farmer!" They laughed. "You should still know the difference between a mouse and a vole." She said with I sigh. "We better get dinner started." Maice started to stand up. "What are we gonna do for food?" Edward asked while they walked backed. "We'll have to see what I have in stock."
