The morning was bright, no clouds in the sky, Maise had slept on the ground throughout the night, and was now ordered to meet Roy with everything she was studying with. "What does he want now?" She wondered, carrying her loads of bags down to his office. Opening the door she spotted people at the small desks now, working on piles of paper and on the phone. Walking past them she placed the three bags beside her seat and sat down, crossing her arms. Roy looked at her with an unpleasant face. He stood up from his desk and looked through her books. He grabbed five and placed them on his desk. They were stuffed with her drawings and pencils. Picking one up, he skimmed through then pulled out a drawing. "Fiction books are not to study with, Maise." Maise cringed. "For some people." She said. "Do you even have notes?" He asked. She looked at him confused then said, "Your holding them." She smiled, it was small but still there. "You're never going to pass, Andrews. Not like this." He said as he teared the sheet in half. "Hey! Stop! Roy!" Maise grabbed the paper then stared at it, on the brink of crying. Before a tear could pop out Roy twisted her shirt's neckline then pulled her off the chair and up close to his face. "Sir!" Riza shouted. Everyone stopped and stared, watching them closely. "Listen to me! You're gonna pass-" Maise blocked him out, clapping her hands together silently then grabbing his arm, burning it enough to make it blister. But he held her tightly bearing through the pain. Gasping, Maise whispered in a faint voice a single word that finally made Roy drop her.  "Ishval."
Landing on the the floor with a thud, Maise quickly brushed herself off. "I learned about the whole Ishval war in one page. Fiction teaches in a different point of view Roy. And to be precise, it's called historical fiction." She said, walking out the door. "Oh, sorry bout' the arm. Ya might wanna get it checked out." Roy checked his arm, it slowly bubbled up turning red during the process. There was still a burning sensation running up his arm. "Ah, I guess this is what I get." He thought.
