~lapse of 2 moon's~

"I do!" Dawnpaw replied loudly. Mintstar looked down with pride.

"The by the powers given to me by StarClan, as leader of JadeClan, I hearby name you Dawnflight, in honor of your speed, agility, and quick thinking. Welcome to JadeClan!" Mintstar shrieked. Dawnflight puffed her chest out as the clan called her new name.

"Dawnflight! Dawnflight! Dawnflight!" Pride rolled over in Dawnflight. She glanced around, happy to see Goldenthorn chanting her name as well. But guilt blossomed inside her, and she couldn't meet his eyes. She had seen Bluewhisker many times in the past two moons, growing closer to him with every visit. Goldenthorn and her had gotten closer too, often going on walks in the forest together. Every moment they spent together, Dawnflight could feel the guilt grow.

"Dawnflight! You Finally got your warrior name!" Goldenthorn purred. Dawnflight rubbed her cheek against his.

"It'll be good to join you in the warriors den." Dawnflight agreed. He pulled back, eyes glowing.

"Oh, Dawnflight." He sighed. Dawnflight was tempted to ask him what was wrong. She forced herself to stay calm. "Come, I must talk to you."

"Okay." Dawnflight squeaked. Goldenthorn padded out of camp, Dawnflight at his heels.

"Dawnflight, I want to know something." Goldenthorn began. Dawnflight looked at him, curious. "Do you like me?"

"In what way?" Dawnflight asked slowly. She didn't want to ruin what could be amazing. Goldenthorn turned away.

"As in, like like. Eventually having kits like." He muttered. Dawnflight stifled a mrrow of laughter.

"Of course I do." Dawnflight purred. Goldenthorn sighed in relief.

"That's good news, I was hoping you would say that." He glanced back, happiness shining in his eyes. That familiar pang of guilt hit Dawnflight. "Would you be my mate?"

"Yes. I would love to." Dawnflight swallowed the guilt, and forced happiness into her mew. Goldenthorn walked around to her side, and curled his tail around hers.

"Thank you." He murmured. Dawnflight nodded weakly. What will I do? She cried in her mind. I love Bluewhisker.
