CHRISTMAS TIME,
ONE SHOT

"You have to stop breaking the lights, Bee! In case you haven't realized, I don't exactly have the highest paying job," Peter calls as he watches his flatmate shatter the lights on the Christmas Tree.

"This time it was an accident, I promise. I didn't even mean to use my magic," Isabella yells as she sweep up the glass that's all over the floor. It's been a bit of a habit over the past month, sometimes on purpose and other times due to being overwhelmed.

The man rolls his eyes, cutting the turkey in their small kitchen. There is only enough room for one of them at a time, meaning this year Peter is on cooking duty and next year it'll be her turn. She had bought dessert though, some Christmas pudding from the shops so that they didn't have to rush around to make anything.

Waving her hand about slowly, Isabella collects up the remainder of the glass and levitates it over to the bin in the corner of the room. "There, all clean. Now, Ellie will be here in ten minutes with the wine,"

"Wine? She's not even old enough to drink yet," Peter responds, raising his eyebrows.

"Okay, dad. She's taking some from home," Isabella speaks, flicking the radio on and cringing slightly when the Christmas carols start to echo around the room. Ellie has been playing them nonstop for weeks now, Michael Bublè being her absolute favourite. "I hate carols so much,"

"Well, after today you don't have to hear them at all anymore until next December,"

"Thank goodness for that. I think we should put some sort of ban on them. Christmas would be so much better,"

"Okay grinch,"

Isabella pulls a face at him, throwing one of the couch pillows at him which he manages to catch quite easily. Sometimes she wishes he didn't have his stupid 'Spidey sense', then she'd actually be able to hit him with the pillow.

A knock on the front door, and their scary ability to recognize the knock, makes Peter use his web-shooters to open it up. Ellie smiles brightly at the two of them and holds the bottle of wine up, a couple of bags over her shoulder filled with presents.

Isabella returns the grin, practically skipping towards the girl happily and pressing a kiss to the other girl's lips quickly. "Merry Christmas,"

"Merry Christmas to you too. And you Peter," Ellie replies, placing the wine on the counter and kissing Peter on the cheek in greeting. "Is Mrs Stacy joining us for dinner?"

"Uh no, she's having dinner with some of our extended family instead. Peter's Aunt is going to drop by tomorrow instead because she's volunteering at the shelter tonight,"

"Hmm, well her loss,"

It's a bit of a difficult topic of conversation, the girl doesn't really like to discuss her and her mother because the relationship is a little fragile. Whilst they've reconciled, Isabella knows that the woman doesn't entirely forgive her for the things she's done. It is one hundred percent the reason why her mother chose to spend her time with their other family instead — a family that doesn't feel comfortable with Isabella in the same room.

"Anyway, do you need any help cooking?" Ellie aims the question at the man in the kitchen.

Isabella snorts lightly and shakes her head. "Peter thinks he's prime time Gordon Ramsey or something. I've been trying to help all day and have been getting shooed out of the kitchen,"

"That's because you burn everything you cook," Peter interjects, pointing the spatula at her.

"Whatever,"

Peter begins to take the food out in order to get it ready to eat, bowls of salad and sauces to go with the turkey. He'd also roasted some potatoes, which had been Ellie's request. Isabella sets the table as Ellie walks over to the tree and puts her bags underneath it.

"Okay, let's eat,"

By the end of dinner, Isabella feels entirely stuffed. She's eaten way too much in a short period of time. It'll will take hours for her to be ready for dessert, but she still takes large gulps of wine to try and wash down her food. Ellie, ever the Christmas lover, is already making her way over to the tree to grab her presents again.

"I'm ready to give your presents now," Ellie says giddily, handing Isabella a small bag and pulling out a wrapped present for Peter. "Okay, open them up,"

Isabella opens the bag, pulling out a small box. The brunette unwraps it and pulls out a beautiful necklace. Her face lights up as she see the flower, studded with beautiful diamonds. It's absolutely gorgeous, probably the most beautiful thing she has ever been given and she loves it — so much so that she's struggling to contain the tears in her eyes.

"You like it?" Ellie asks, hope evident in her voice. Isabella nods her head, leaning over and kissing the girl for the second time.

"It's gorgeous. Thank you," Isabella breathes.

The brunette girl then gets up and grabs Ellie's hand, taking her over to the tree and grabbing her present for the girl before dragging her outside on the balcony. "Open this, put them on and then I've got a surprise for you,"

For the first time in a while, there is no snow on Christmas and Ellie has voice her displeasure greatly. She grew up outside of town, and she's never seen it before which means she was looking forward to it. Thankfully, Isabella has a solution.

Ellie slips on the jacket and beanie, looking at Isabella questioningly. Isabella, however, gives her a smile. "Ready?"

Ellie scrunches her eyebrows and nods her head. Isabella holds her arm up and circles her hand, a large circle of colour appearing above her head. Then, within mere seconds, snow begins to fall from above them. It's only a small amount, and she'll need more practice in the future if she'd like to do it again, but it doesn't seem to matter. Her girlfriend gasps and her eyes light up in wonder, holding her hands out and allowing the snow to land on her palms.

It starts to get heavier, the floor now covered in a light layer of snow. Ellie moves forward and hugs the girl, Isabella returning the favour. "This is the best thing ever,"

"I'll be honest, I had no idea what to get you but I had a think about it last week. I've been working on it for the last seven days," Isabella admits.

"Well thank you,"

"You're welcome,"

The two of them allow their lips to touch once again, this time under the specks of snow, a warmth in their hearts that's so unlike anything they've ever felt before.

Note!

Hi, this is just a little Christmas one shot. Merry Christmas everybody, I hope you have the best day and have lots of fun into the new year.

I would also just like to remind you that the sequel to this book is up now as well.
