I. Introduction:

Good afternoon. My name is Le Phuong Thao. I’m 20 years old. I live in Ha Noi with my family. Now, I’m a student at Tourism and Travel Management in Ha Noi Tourism College. My class is C9B1. In my free time, I like reading book, listening to music, playing sports and chatting with my friends. In the future, I want to be a tour guide because I would be able to travel and learn more about places I’ve never been. Besides, I think that travel agent is a interesting job.I can talk to many people who live in many places and help them arange their flights and hotel booking all over the world.

II. Role playing:

1. Situation 1:

A: Good morning. Can I help you?

B: Good morning. I want to book a flight to Beijing.

A: Yes, sir. When would you like to travel?

B: How many flights to Bejing are there in this week?

A: There are 3 flights on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday at 10:10 a.m

B: Oh, good. I’d like to fly on Sunday.

A: Economy or Club class, sir?

B: Economy.

A: Would you like me to reserve a seat for you?

B: Yes, please.

A: Thank you. Could you wait a minute while I check availability?

B: Yes, sure.

A: Yes, that’s fine. Can you give me your address and your telephone number?

B: OK

A: Fine. Your flight number is VN900 from Hanoi to Bejing. It leaves at 10:10 a.m on Sunday. Would you please check in one hour before departure? Here’s your ticket. Have a good flight.

2. Situation 2:

A: Good  afternoon. Hanoi Travel. Can I help you?

B: Good afternoon. I’ve got a flight reservation for Friday, but I’d like to change it, please.

A: Certainly. What’s your name, please?

B: …

A: Where are you flying to?

B: Hong Kong

A: Which flight are you on?

B: The Friday flight at 11:05

A: And what’s the flight number?

B: It’s VN 790

A: When do you want to fly, sir?

B: The same time but one week earlier, on the same flight.

A: Same flight and same time one week earlier, 31st January. Economy or Club Class, sir?

B: Economy

A: Could you wait a minute while I check avaibility?

B: Yes, sure.

A: I’m sorry but there will be a charge of 100,000 VND per booking to cover the administration costs.

B: Ok, I’ll pay by credit card.

A: Thank you. Yes, that’s confirmed. Your flight number is VN 793 from Hanoi to Hong Kong. It leaves at 11:05 on Friday, 31st Janury. Would you please check in one hour before departure?

B: OK. Thank you.

A: You’re welcome. Have a good flight. Thanks for your calling.

3. Situation 3:

A: Good afternoon. Hanoi Railways. Can I help you?

B: Good afternoon. I’d like some information about trains from Hanoi to Lao Cai tomorrow.

A: Certainly. What time would you like to leave?

B: It doesn't really matter, but I have to be in Lao Cai by 7.45 a.m at least and I can’t leave Hanoi before 21.00 pm.

A: There’s an express at 21:55, getting in at 6 o’clock

B: Hmm, I’d prefer to leave a bit earlier, I think.

A: Well, the 21.55 arrives in Lao Cai at 6.15

B: I see. In that case the 21:55 is probably the best. Can I buy a ticket now? I’ve got a credit card.

A: Certainly. Can you give me your name, your contact address and your telephone number, please?

B: …..

A: Fine. Your train coding is SP3 from Ha noi to Lao Cai. It leaves at 21:55 and arrives in Lao Cai at 6:00.

4. Situation 4:

A: Good afternoon. Can I help you?

B: I have got a day in Ha Noi. Could you give me some information about the city?

A: Certainly, madam. This leaflet will give you plenty of idea on what to see. It includes diretions to all the main attractions.

B: Hmm. What would you recommend?

A: If you’re only here for a day, you ought to visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum – it is the last resting place of Ho Chi Minh and Van Mieu – that’s the first University in Viet nam. Then in the afternoon you could visit Vietnam Museum of Ethnology, Hoan Kiem lake and go around 36 Streets Old Quarter.

B: That sounds like a busy day! What about  places to eat?

A: Well. You should eat Pho on 49 Bat Dan street. This universally famous food is best enjoyed in Hanoi. Besides, you should not miss Xoi Yen on Nguyen Huu Huan Street, Banh cuon Gia An on Ba Trieu Street, Bun Thang on Cau Go Street and Cha ca La Vong on 14 Cha Ca Street.

B: You’re making me hungry!

A: OK. Let me mark those places on this map. I suggest you travel by taxi. They’re quite cheap and convenient for you.

B: Thank you very much.

A: You’re welcome. Have a nice day!

10. u shouldnt bring such a valuable things like that because it's too dangerous for u as u can be stolen

11. i know some airlines decrease ticket price . i will give you address of them

12. i will help u re-confirm this ticket by calling for air staff

13. Why don’t you travel by plane?

14. I know a good taxi company. Would you like me to call a taxi for you?

15. do you remember exactly the last time when u had seen my luggage? wait for me here, i have to tell to air staff about my lost lugguge
