Felicity's P.O.V.

When we jumped out of the window, we landed in some weeds. The criminal guy hadn't noticed our escape yet; he was still laughing manically over Ms. Hopkin. Me and Harmony took the chance to start pelting towards the woods.

Just as we reached the woods, the criminal had started giving chase. So we veered of the path, and dashed towards the Assisted Living place right near our school. Most people rarely visit there, so it would be an ideal place to hide.

He followed us pretty closely, staying out of sight, even though he knew that that we knew he was following us. We made a mad dash through the trees, tripping over tree roots and sliding on dead leaves. We skittered around a huge boulder, and waited for him to pass us.

When he went right, expecting us to go to a friend's house, we ran left towards the Assisted Living place. We quickly ran in the big oak doors and told the front desk people with one breath, "If a man in black comes in here, asking about 2 girls, don't tell him we were here." Even though we didn't think he would suspect us of going to the Assisted Living place.

We then slid around the corner and into the bathroom to wait. I was sure I had never breathed loudly before, but now in the complete silence I breathed harder than I had ever breathed before.
