Gerithor Lastborn: Gerithor is a Dunedain ranger, and is the Lastborn of his people(read The Lastborn for a more thorough explanation). He goes by several names. Raven in Bree-Land, because the people there liken him to one, always swooping in when trouble is nearby. And Varonwe by the elves, for his loyalty. He has travelled across much of Middle Earth, on many quests and long journeys. The two years leading up to the War of the Ring saw him guarding the Shire, leading a group of his kinsmen who patrolled the border.

Caledorn: An elf of mysterious origins, Caledorn is eager to help Gerithor in his quest once more. He has no home, but rather goes wherever he is needed, to assist and council those whom he deems as potential allies in the War.

Glorfindel: A legend among the Free Peoples, Glorfindel is one of the greatest warriors to ever set foot Middle Earth. It was he that drove the Witch-King from his stronghold in Angmar, and he has taken part in almost every major conflict since. His greatest battle, however, has yet to be fought.

Edhael: To say that Edhael is musically talented would be an understatement most dire; Edhael is perhaps the greatest bard to ever grace Middle Earth. His ballads are sung in the halls of every great ruler, but also in the taverns and inns. He is also an expert troublemaker, landing himself in precarious situations just about everywhere he goes. He was once driven out of Dale when he refused to pay a gambling debt(albeit he didn't have the money to pay). Needless to say, his silver tongue couldn't save him and he hasn't returned since.

Taliel: Once a beautiful young elleth, Taliel has been scarred by countless battles, being one of the last survivors of the Battle of the Last Alliance. She's blind in her left eye and the tip of her left ear was cut off in an ambush. She now travels Middle Earth as a mercenary for hire, most of her jobs being a caravan escort or a bodyguard.
She met Edhael shortly after a fiasco at Edoras, where Edhael was nearly killed by disgruntled peasants who he tricked into giving him their only horse. Taliel came to his aid and together they escaped.

Gloin: One of the Company of Thorin Oakenshield and Gimli's father, Gloin was sent to Rivendell on behalf of the dwarves of Erebor. Little did he know that this journey would be far greater than any he had been on before.

Lurkai: The first of an elite breed of orc known as Durthai, Lurkai is a relentless hunter and skilled tracker. He is also more disciplined than the average orc, focused entirely on the mission at hand.

Maugash: The sorceress saw promise in this evil orc, and because of this she decided to teach him how to use dark magic. He is one of the only orcs to be able to do so, and takes great pride in this. He also has a bit of a superiority complex, seeing himself as the sorceress's favored servant.

Cirdan: Long the shipmaster of Mithlond, Cirdan is something of a legend among the elves. He has guarded the passage to Valinor steadfastly, and as such is seen as an elf of wisdom and power. He is also one of the only elves to have a beard.

The Sorceress: Little is known about her, but among the servants of Sauron she goes by several names, all equally dark. In Mordor she is known as the Dead Maiden. In Mirkwood whispers speak of her as the Lady of Raven-Locks, referring to her hair. In the east she is commonly called The Mistress of the Dead Tree. She appears at random, and her servants are everywhere. But everyone knows to fear her, even her allies.
