Trevor held his girlfriend in his arms, her sobs muffled by the fabric of his shirt. She'd come to him as he was sat on the couch, her eyes pooled with tears as her bottom lip shook. The second he saw her, he'd pulled her into his room, letting her fall apart as they sat on the bed.

He didn't want an explanation, not if she didn't want to give him one. It wasn't often he'd seen her cry, never like this. Hunter was happy, always, and whatever had happened had crushed her. His first thought was that she'd read too many comments, then he'd had a terrible assumption that Caleb had somehow texted her.

"I-I can't.. I can't believe how shit my mom is." Hunter was frustrated, gripping onto Trevor's shirt as she read the texts repeatedly popping up onto her phone screen.

"What happened?" He asked softly, glancing at her phone as it continued to go off.

"My mom being.. well, my mom." She handed him her phone and he unlocked it, reading the chats for himself. "She always does this, she'll be good for a little while but then does a whole one-eighty the second something doesn't go her way." Hunter whipped her tears as she spoke, feeling pathetic, held in the arms of her boyfriend.

He didn't care though, she was hurting and it hurt him. The messages that had gone unread to the girl had him fuming. Her mother wasn't holding back, realizing Hunter wouldn't give into a response.

"I'm sorry, this is so dumb." Hunter tried ro force a laugh at her own state but he shook his head. He turned off her phone, setting it aside and fully bringing her to sit in his lap.

"Baby, it's okay to be upset. No offense but your mother seems like a fucking bitch." Now she was truly laughing, cracks between giggles and sobs.

She nodded vigorously, "she really is." She hugged her arms and legs around him, never wanting to leave his comforting hold. "I wish I could just move here, be with you all the time." Hunter mumbled, a little too honestly.

"Why can't you?"
