IM BACK!

Did you guys miss me?

In any case, here's the fight scene you've all been waiting for. I've even made it extra long to make up for the time I've been gone ;)

P.s. apologies if my writing isn't to my normal standards... I'm a little rusty haha

Warnings: Blood

~3rd P.O.V.~

Thunder rumbles ominously overhead, and a sharp wind picks up. The wind throws Mitch off, and he teeters in the air, only just managing to catch himself before he face plants into the dirt. Endi growls in frustration, urging Seto to 'hurry up and kill them'. To which responds by Seto sends an inferno of fire towards the group of five. Mitch uses the gusts of wind to his advantage, and glides out of range. Meanwhile Brice and Jerome dive one way, and Matt and Pete dive the opposite. The pillar of fire continues until it reaches the edge of the swamp island, and is snuffed out in the water, sending up a cloud of steam with a hiss. Said steam is quickly carried away by the wind.

"Brice, what're we gonna do?" Jerome mutters urgently, grunting as he deflects a rock sailing at his head with his forearm.
"We need a plan." He replies, the pair ducking as a barrage of energy bolts sail over their heads. "And I think I've got one. MITCH!"

Mitch, swerving in mid air, turns to face Brice. Still not used to the concept of flying, it throws him off balance, and he crashes ungracefully to the ground. The remains of the ice shards dig into his forearms, but Mitch finds it a much better option than the giant boulder whizzing past where he was flying seconds ago.

"What?" He huffs, yelping and diving to the side as lightning strikes the ground in his direction.
"Do you think you can get the key from Endi?"
Mitch scrambles over, glancing cautiously over his shoulder to where Endi is barking orders at Seto. "I'm still a little new to this whole flying thing but... I'll try my best."

Clenching his bow tightly, Mitch propels himself up into the air once more, making his way to Endi. Meanwhile Seto is concentrated on trying to murder Pete and Matt, who are frantically scrambling all over the place, trying to dodge his attacks.

"Pete! Matt! I need you two to draw Seto's attention away!" Brice shouts, cupping his hands over his mouth to amplify his voice.
"Way... Ahead of you!" Pete retorts, wincing as a stone slices into his gelatine flesh, cutting a nice long gash into his cheek which begins to bleed instantly.
"And what do we do?" Jerome inquires, clenching and uncle cling his fists repeatedly.
"We have to try and knock Seto out. I don't know if it'll fix him but... it's our best shot right now."
"What are we waiting for, then? Lezzgo!"

Meanwhile, as Jerome and Brice converse, Seto is becoming increasingly frustrated with his friends Matt and Pete. Not that he can recall their friendship in his current state, anyways. He fires a spell, they dodge. Only very occasionally does any of his attacks connect, and their hardly near fatal. He sighs in annoyance, as the cyborg, Matt, jumps over his perfectly placed fissure.

"You two are really starting to get on my nerves." He seethes, firing off ice shards in rapid succession.

His voice is carried off in the wind. Just like his mind.

Out of the corner of his eye, Seto catches sight of Jerome and Brice, stealthy dashing up towards him. Seto begins to turn towards the duo, but a particularly nasty taunt from Pete causes him to whirl around, temper flaring.

"Let's mix things up a bit, shall we?" He spits angrily, stretching out a hand towards the slime hybrid, and the other towards Jerome and Brice.

A purple film encases Brice and Jerome, freezing them in place. They shout in surprise, struggling to try and break free. Seto squints in concentration, focusing over half his power into keeping them still. They're strong, I'll give them that much. Especially that bacca. I'm not sure how long I can hold him. I'll have to make this quick. Seto acknowledges, clenching the fist directed at Pete. Immediately he stops dead in his tracks, shrieking in agony and clawing at his head.

"Pete?! Pete what's wrong?!" Matt yells, staring wide eyed with fear and concern as his friend continues to scream. "Brandon answer me!" He begs, even using Pete's real name.

But Pete doesn't answer. His cries die out, and he straightens out, slowly and ominously. Matt gasps as he witnesses Pete's eyes morph from a midnight black, to a vibrant glowing purple; the colour of Seto's magic.

"Oh, come on! That's not fair." Brice complains. "This is like mind-control-ception right now!"
Seto ignores the statement, smirking diabolically and pointing a finger at Matt. "Pete, kill him"
"Yes, Seto." Pete says in a monotonous voice, raising his iron sword into an offensive position.

Well crap. Matt thinks worriedly, raising his sword. Pete's way better at sword fighting than me. So what am I supposed to do? He panics, just managing to parry Pete's slash. Matt's gaze shifts over to Seto's house. I'll run and evade Pete in there. That's what I'll do. He may be better at fighting, but I'm faster and more agile.

"Come at me, you icky slime!" Matt taunts, sticking out his tongue.

And so Matt dashes away, with Pete hot on his tail. Meanwhile, in that very moment, Jerome gathers all his strength, and with a mighty shout, breaks free of Seto's hold. This action startles Seto, enough so that he releases his telepathic grip on Brice as well. He huffs in frustration, attempting to capture them once again, but they break out almost instantly this time around. He frowns, realizing that using this much magic is starting to tire him out. No matter. I'll simply trap Brice, and then deal with Jerome on my own.

Brice and Jerome continue their charge against Seto, drawing closer by the second. The sorcerer reaches a hand up to the sky, and a monstrous roar of thunder rumbles through the air. A split second later, a bolt of white hot lightning is striking the ground, just in front of Brice. Brice manages to jump back just in time, barely avoiding becoming a pile of ash, but instead ends up tripping and falling to his back. Seto seizes the moment to summon large twisting vines, that spurt from the ground, all around Brice. The blond has no time to react before the plants slam down over him, binding his legs and arms, and pinning him firmly to the ground. Brice tries to cut at one with his sword, but another vine wrenches the weapon form his hand, tossing it to the side and joining the others in trapping him. He grunts in pain, attempting and miserably failing to escape.

"Now then..." Seto trails, cracking his knuckles, and white eyes gleaming. "Let's see what you're made of."

Meanwhile as Jerome leaps forward, claws unsheathed to engage Seto in combat, Mitch is having a frustrating time trying to get the key from Endi. The howling wind is constantly throwing him off balance in the air, which as a result causes his shots with his bow to miss frequently. And any arrows that are accurate, and are sure to hit Endi, end up failing as well, since the Enderman hybrid simply teleports out of the way before they can make contact. What's even more infuriating is that Endi isn't even trying to attack Mitch at all. He's just toying with him, laughing tauntingly as shot after shot misses him.

"Give it up Mitchell!" Endi shouts, teleporting away from another arrow. "This silly game you're playing is pointless! You can't hit me!"
"Says the one too cowardly to come up here and fight me face-to-face!" Mitch yells back, soaring up on an air current.
"Oh I'm not scared, I can assure you that much." Endi smirks, watching as an arrow sails way off target. "Can't you see? I'm just stalling. You do realize you're meaner little stock of arrows is going to run out eventually, right? And when it does..." He grins widely, pulling out an enchanted diamond sword, and letting his sentence end there.

Mitch pauses for a moment, eyeing the deadly weapon warily. He hesitates for a moment, coming to a sudden realization that Endi is right. But then he shakes his head, willing himself to not give up now. He needs that key, and more importantly, he needs Endi dead.

"New plan." He whispers to himself, gently flapping down so he's once again standing on solid ground.

Now with proper balance, Mitch raises his bow confidently, no longer teetering and wobbling and putting his aim off course. I guess I should've done this in the first place. He realizes, nocking an arrow and drawing the string back. I thought shooting while flying would give me an advantage. He readies another arrow, ready to nock it and fire within a moments notice after the other. But I guess not. It looks like I still need to learn when flying is appropriate. Because now... He takes aim at Endi, smirking. That freak is as good as dead.

He lets the string slip off his fingertips, and the arrow speeds off with a soft twang. As expected, Endi teleports out of the way, vanishing in a cloud of purple particles. But the second he reappears, Mitch pivots, aims, and fires the next arrow all within a single second. This time Endi can't react fast enough, and the arrow impales him in his tricep. Endi shrieks a ghastly cry, somewhere between the cry of a man and the cry of an enderman. Dark purple blood oozes from the wound, splattering all over the ground and his clothes. Mitch barks a laugh in triumph, raising his bow and going to fire another set of arrows...

Only to find he's out.

No!

"Well well well..." Endi growls, yanking the arrow out of his arm, and releasing a stream of blood. "Would you look at that. Now that you're out of arrows... it's my turn."

Endi throws back his head, and lets out a resounding cry of an enderman. There's a pause where nothing happens... and then all of a sudden a horde of endermen appear. Mitch steps back in fear and shock, counting no less than fifteen endermen, all flocking around Endi. Instinctively he leaps into the air, beating his wings down so he hovers several blocks off the ground. Endi chuckles, amused.

"My how the tables have turned. I'll admit, taking to the air isn't a bad idea... but you're forgetting one thing my dear Mitchell... endermen can teleport."

Mitch's cry of pain is what pulls Jerome's attention away from Seto, if only for a second. He stomach drops as he sees a large group of enderman surrounding Endi. Mitch's cry was caused because an Enderman teleported into the air, behind Mitch, and punched him brutally in the back of the head. Mitch swoops, trying to regain balance, but another enderman teleports up, landing on top of him and kicking him down with a shattering force. Mitch crashes to the ground, wings curling in as he tries to roll to a stop. It partly works, but then the horde of endermen close in, jaws agape and angry screeches filling the air.

"Oh no, Mitch..."

Jerome is so caught up in debating what to do, he forgets that there's an extremely powerful sorcerer standing not ten blocks away that wants to kill him. And by the time he turns around, it's too late.

A large burst of energy knocks him off his feet, and Jerome crashes to the ground, the wind fleeing from his lungs. He gaps, the world swaying beneath his feet as he grips at his chest, trying to catch his breath. Seto takes this opportunity to summon two braided vines, that snake up from the ground and wrap around Jerome's arms, hoisting him into the air. The wind still knocked out of him, Jerome can do nothing to fight it as Seto steps forward, a ball of lethal magic dancing around his fingers. A little ways away, Brice watches completely helpless as Seto stretches out his hand, the ball of magic aimed right for Jerome's heart. And off in the other direction, Mitch is getting beaten up badly, already bleeding from several spots and clutching a no doubt broken wrist. Brice returns his gaze to Seto, watching with horror as he mouths the word "goodbye" to Jerome, only moments away from firing a shot that will surely kill Jerome. And it's all Brice can do to scream.

"SETO DON'T DO IT!"

The voice rings through the air, echoing clearly in Seto's head. NO! He screeches mentally, the voice clicking with something in his mind. Seto's eyes briefly flash back to their normal hazel brown, and he wrenches his arm away, just as the ball of energy is released. Seto's eyes turn back to white and he's once again out to kill, but it was enough that the ball of energy misses its target, instead slamming into the vines trapping Jerome and destroying them. Jerome falls to the ground, the impact resetting his progress, and leaving him wriggling on the ground, alive but gasping for air.

And yet, it's surprising, that neither Mitch nor Jerome notices that as the fight progressed, one of five white lines still sneaking out of their gems began to grow rapidly brighter and brighter. And now, it's almost blinding.

"hmph. You're a lucky one, that's for sure." Seto scoffs, summoning another ball of magic. "But all that did was buy you mere seconds more to live. And now... you will die. Just like you're friend over there is about to."
"Seto, please don't!" Brice calls again.

But to no avail. This time, it has no affect on Seto. All it served as to amuse the sorcerer, who grinned shallowly at Brice's pitiful attempts. What it did do however, was distract Seto for a moment. A moment long enough, for a new force to be entered into this fight.

"It looks like you guys could use a hand."

Everyone's attention, mob and human alike, are drawn towards the new voice, with a distinct accent. Except Matt and Pete of course, who are both still somewhere in Seto's house. Suddenly a fist is flying out from a nearby group of trees, attached to a arm that is much to long to be human. Is connects directly with Seto's jaw, who was too shocked to even react. His eyes roll back, and he falls to the ground, out cold. And just as the vines trapping Brice retract, so does the hand, the arm it belongs to shrinking al the way down to normal size.

"Prince Lachlan!?" Everyone, except Mitch and Jerome who are nearly unconscious, exclaim.
"That's right mates. And as brought some friends." He greets cheekily.

From behind him step King Sky, as well as his best friends Jason and Tyler. They're all decked out in full diamond armour, equipped with shields, swords, and bows. Though Sky wears a crown in place of his helmet, and Lachlan wears no armour, but instead his regular clothing and the smaller crown on his head.

"And let me tell you a little secret..." Sky begins, facing Endi. "I don't appreciate those who hurt my friends"

Sky, Jason, and Ty all charge forward, swords raised high above their heads, towards the cluster of endermen. Meanwhile Lachlan uses his powers of elasticity to grab both Mitch and Jerome under an arm, and bring them in close to him, where he begins to pull out some healing potions and treat them. At this point, Mitch has lost consciousness. Endi teleports a little away, jaw agape with shock and disbelief. Brice scrambles to go see if the unconscious Seto is indeed just knocked out, and not dead. And finally both Matt and Pete emerge from Seto's house, Pete rubbing his head and groaning while Matt heavily limps, with a large gash on his forehead.

"You're... a white gem?" Jerome rasps, brows furrowed.

He never really liked Lachlan. They've met on several occasions, and every time Jerome has not been very I,pressed with his attitude. Mitch was a bit more understanding, but still partially shared Jerome's view on the once rude Prince. And yet here he is, saving their lives, with Sky, Jason, and Ty no less.

"Indeed, and I wanna get this out now-I'm sorry for anything I've ever done or said in the past. I'm a better person now."

Jerome nods silently, closing his eyes and breathing deeply as Lachlan treats his wounds.

"No... no! This can't be happening!" Endi seethes, screeching to summon more enderman, seeing as his mere fifteen are all but dead now. "I won't allow it"
"Hey buddy."

Endi whirls around at the familiar voice, nearly falling over in fear and shock as he sees Seto standing there, with Brice at his side, looking none too happy. What's even more terrifying is that his eyes are back to normal, and there's balls of purple magic floating above his palms, currently facing him.

"You messed with the wrong sorcerer."
