Guys look I drew Riptide

Warnings: Blood/Gore

     ~3rd P.O.V.~

Unlike Plague and Endi, Riptide wastes no time in signalling his red-eyed minions to attack. Before the dust settles in the entrance, lasers are firing, tridents are spinning, and the room erupts into chaos.

As the first barrage of tridents arc towards them, the drowned reload, arms drawing back to throw a second wave of tridents. Rob suspends the tridents mid-flight, and with a wave of his hand he sends them whirling back to counter the second wave of tridents. The lasers, fired with pinpoint accuracy, all hit their marks. Rob, Jerome, Mitch, Vikk, and Lachlan are all stung painfully with several lasers, being thrown against the wall. Thankfully, their diamond armor absorbs most of the damage.

With a beat of his wings Mitch jets forward, a sword in each hand as he barrel rolls through line of drowned. His swords find the gaps between the drowns armor with ease, slicing through undead flesh and sending up clouds of murky blood. Rob weaves End magic between his fingers, sending out a wave of black mist that drifts into the eyes of the guardians and blinds them. They all thrash about in a panic, shooting lasers this way and that. Rob, deciding to take a defensive position, shelters himself behind a dark prismarine pillar. Confident in his friends abilities to slay the underwater mobs, he tasks himself with popping up a brief protective barrier whenever a laser shoots towards one of his friends, attempting to save energy.

Lachlan swims towards Riptide, determined to kill the hybrid himself in an effort to right his wrongs. Riptide calmly floats in front of his throne, eyes narrowed and tail swishing as he waits for Lachlan to approach. Riptide is at least twice the size of the tall prince, and much more muscular. To Riptide, Lachlan is no more than an annoying bug, meant to be squashed. Lachlan bends around a trident, reaching his arm back as he swims stretching it out to grab the discarded weapon. Thirty blocks away Lachlan tries a cheap move, extending his hand forward at the speed of light and trying to snatch the key from Riptides chest. Riptide, although surprised at first, reacts with lightning speed and grabs Lachlan's wrist with an iron grip. He yanks Lachlan's arm with the force of a horse, sending Lachlan tumbling towards himself. By the time Lachlan has righted himself, a massive trident is being thrust at his face.

Lachlan just barely manages to raise his significantly tinier trident in time to block the thrust, and his trident is smashed to pieces. Plan B involves Lachlan stretching his neck several blocks back, out of the range of the trident, and when Riptide brings it back to his side Lachlan snaps forward, leg flying towards Riptides face. Riptide swiftly turns around in response, and Lachlan's leg smashes into Riptides spiked back, the navy blue spikes easily piercing through Lachlan's leggings. As they impale his leg, Lachlan screams in pain, his voice watery as he jerks his leg away, streams of blood following. Riptide goes to charge Lachlan but a random laser slams into Riptides side, scorching his ribs. The giant hybrid glares at the blinded guardian, slamming his tail into its body and sending it crashing through the roof.

Suddenly Vikk and Jerome are at Lachlan's side, Jerome thrusting a trident into Riptides back while Vikk points towards Mitch, struggling to fend off the army of drowned. A trident sails towards the winged hero, and a flash of a shield protects him, Mitch diving forward and impaling his foe. Lachlan then follows Vikk finger towards Rob who is looking exhausted, leaning heavily against the pillar he's behind.

"Go help him," Vikk tells Lachlan, voice bubbly and deep. "We've got this."

Lachlan, feeling defeated, reluctantly retreats as Vikk joins Jerome in combat against Riptide, transforming into an iron golem and smashing his fish into Riptides face. Eyeing the worn down Rob, Lachlan limbs into the middle of a cluster of confused and blinded guardians. Bracing himself by wrapping his legs like coils around a trident stuck fast into the ground, he grips the tail of a dead guardian firmly in his hands. Swinging it around like a club, he mows down the guardians above him, relieving some of the pressure on Rob. Mitch, noticing Lachlan's arrival, nods his head on gratitude. The two stand back to back, wield their weapons, and together with the help of Rob slay any mob that comes their way.

Riptide, frustrated and admittedly worried that these tiny people are putting up such a fight, doubles his efforts. He tussles violently with the extraordinarily strong bacca, trident swinging and fists flying as they battle. Jerome rakes his claws through Riptides tough skin, digging deep red gashes into his abdomen. Riptide jerks back in pain, swinging his trident around and smashing Jerome in the skull at full force. However Riptides momentary thrill quickly vanished as Jerome simply shakes his head, spits out a mouthful of blood, and smiles back manically. The hit barely affected him st all.

Taking advantage of Riptides shock, Vikk, now rivalling Riptides strength as an iron golem, wraps his bulky arms around Riptides tails and drags him to the ground as Jerome downs a water breathing potions. He raises his fists high above his head and slams them down intending to crush Riptide, but the mob whiles around, catches Vikk fists in his webbed hands. Pivoting, he tosses Vikk easily through the water, sending him crashing into a pillar which collapses on top of him. Jerome leaps at him, axe swinging, but Riptide swims away, doubling back so he is in the very centre of the room. Gazing left and right and witnessing the slaughter of his minions, Riptide begins swimming in rapid circles.

Vikk eyes widening, realized that Riptide is trying to make a whirlpool and drown them all. Jerome has noticed too, but can to little to slow or stop the spiralling mob. Mitch, Rob, and Lachlan, still dealing with the army of guardians and drowned, fail to notice. Drawing on every bit of strength he has, Vikk shoves the crumbled rock off him, pushing himself to his feet and morphing into a dolphin. As the current in the room grows increasingly stronger, Vikk jets towards Riptide, at the last second morphing back into an iron golem and letting his momentum carry him towards the giant hybrid. One arm drawn back, he thrusts is forward, iron fist aimed for Riptides head.

In one swift movement Riptide swivels and slams his tail spikes into Vikk which punctures deep into his lung. The red gem on Riptides forehead flares to life, and a bright red beam shoots out with the force of five hundred guardian lasers, slamming into Vikk at close quarters. The blast sends him crashing into the wall, and the raw energy forcibly morphs him back to his human-zombie form. Riptide sneers, continuing to spiral.

In an instant Rob is at Vikk side who is gasping desperately, water filling his lungs and blood gushing out at an alarming rate from the large puncture hole in his chest. The two are buffeted by the strong current and Rob pulls a Vikk behind a pillar, pressing his hands to Vikk chest and creating a temporary magical seal over the hole. Vikk sputters and coughs, Rob gently ushering him to breathe.

"You need to leave," Rob communicates telepathically, pilling Vikk to his feet, "that seal won't last long."

Vikk shakes his head frantically, pushing Rob away and pointing first towards Lachlan, Mitch, and Jerome, who are finishing up the drowned and guardians, and then Riptide. He points to himself, then back to Riptide, and then slams his fist into his palm. Rob shakes his head, gripping Vikk wrist tightly when he tries to leave.

      "I'm sorry."

Focusing what little energy he has left, Rob pictures the shore and the little hut Preston is in, and then in a flurry of bubbles Vikk is gone.

Not two seconds after Vikk is gone Rob is hit by a wall of gushing water, and he is pressed to the wall, barely able to move under the strong current. He groans inwardly as his head slams painfully into the wall, his brain pounding like a drum inside his skull. A crushing pressure builds up in his chest and his surroundings darken, the sea lanterns all around seeming to flicker. He pulls out some of his last water breathing and night vision potions, struggling to drink them as the water continues to pin him against the wall, becoming increasingly stronger. If only I could stop this current! But I'm not strong enough... my energy is almost spent...

Rob glances over to see Mitch slaying the very last drowned before being caught by the current and spiralling into a pillar. He flails there helplessly, unable to free himself. Lachlan has his arms wrapped around another pillar like snakes, just barely hanging on as the rest of his body is jostled around by the whirlpool. Jerome is near the centre of it all, and yet even with his super strength he can do almost nothing but brace against the current, slowly trying to inch his way to the eye of the whirlpool. That's it!

"Lachlan. I need Jerome." I call out telepathically.

Lachlan obliges, brow furrowed as he uses all his strength to crunch in his legs and wrap them around the pillar in place of his arms. Then extending forward by his torso, he fights his way towards Jerome, sending one arm forward to grip the throne as an anchor point. Jerome watches him in confusion, and Lachlan nods his head towards Rob. Then wrapping his other arm around Jerome's waist he lets go of the throne, letting the current swing them around towards Rob. He lets Jerome go right next to Rob and the water pins Jerome to the wall, Lachlan floating back around and shrinking, hugging the pillar tightly with both his arms and legs.

"I have an idea, but I need your strength so I have enough energy to complete the spell. This will hurt, but it may be our only chance. Are you in?"

Jerome nods firmly, staring at Rob with a set jaw and determined eyes. Rob exhales deeply, reaching one hand out towards Jerome. Jerome inches to the side, clasping hands with Rob and never breaking their gaze. Rob recalls a spell only accessible through End magic and pauses for a moment collecting himself, and then sets it off.

Jerome screeches in pain, audible even underwater, as Rob uses end magic to sap his very life force. Rob squeezes his eyes shut, trying to block out the sickening screams as he feels Jerome's strength flood through his veins. Riptide comes to a stop in the middle of the whirlpool, eyes narrowing. He grips his trident tightly in one fist, pointing it towards Rob and drawing his arm back. Suddenly Robs eyes snap open, his eyes glowing completely blue. Jerome falls limp and as the trident sails towards Rob the mage shouts, a burst of pure magical energy exploding from his body.

The wave of energy knocks the trident flat to the ground and suddenly there's a low rumbling. Everyone comes to a pause, even Riptide, as suddenly the walls begin to waver. Riptides eyes widen in shock as the entire primarine monument turns to... sponge. In an instant all the water on the inside of the monument is sucked up into the walls, floor, pillars, and even throne. As the water drains Riptide whirls in a fury towards Rob and Jerome who float unconscious in the calm water. He jets forward, eyes ablaze and gem gleaming as he desperately tries to reach Rob and Jerome before the water subsides. However suddenly Mitch comes flying out of nowhere, body checking Riptide from the side at maximum velocity. Before Riptide can right himself the last of the water drains and he's left stranded on the mushy floor, not suffocating but only able to move at a snails pace.

And then Lachlan, who had at first dropped from the pillar like a wet noodle, rises to his feet and jumps into Riptides back. Arms wrapping around Riptides neck like a snake, the prince squeezes, Riptide flailing as Lachlan's arms warp tighter and tighter around his neck.

Eventually, he lies still on the ground, eyes dull and lifeless.

Lachlan slides off the beasts back, proud that he'd finally redeemed himself, and rips the blue key off his neck. He ties it around his own neck, smiling grimly, his breaths ragged.

"Come on Lachlan, grab Rob," Mitch breaths, hoisting Jerome into his arms, "it's time to go."
