June's POV :

Is she kidding? There's no way she could like her...she just got over her boyfriend.

"Well, nice joke"

She looked at me, "I ain't joking, June. I really do like him"

"But what if it ruins our friendship? What if he doesn't like you as the way you do? What if everything is a misunderstanding?"

"I don't know, I'm scared that's why... what should I do?"

"I don't know, you're not sure if he really likes you so nothing could be said"

"Girls!" Ava came running to us with her backpack, smilingly "Owo! A serious discussion is going on?"

"Not at all" Katie replied and I looked at her

"Wow! Now you started hiding things from me?" She said and took her seat

"That's not the thing, Ava"

"Then what? I thought there's no secret between us"

"You're being childish" I said to her. Katie sighed and told her everything.

"Why not confess to him? There are two options, either he would say yes or no, there's nothing in between" Ava said

"But...the friendship will be ruined"

"Maybe, but you're not sure about it and you have to confess one day, it's better if that's early"

I looked at Ava and Katie talking. Jealousy filled in my heart, as I decided to calm down, i can't let my emotions get the best of me again. What if I tell Katie I like him too? No...I can't— it would be a hassle, and more suspections.

"Okay, I'll tell him during recess then" Katie said, proudly and I know I can't let that happen.

Yuri came to the class after that and the classes also started, it was almost recess when Katie went to his seat,

"Yuri, can we talk?"

He looked up from his books and said "Sure, what is it?"

"It's something private, let's talk in the background" she said and they went out.

"I hope it goes well" Ava smiled and stretched her arms

"Erm, I am going to the washroom" I said and went out of the class. I searched for them and saw them standing beside a tree. What if he confesses and Yuri accepts her?

I panicked and about to rush there when I heard a voice from behind

"She is your best friend, June" It was Ava

"Ava?"

"I know you like Yuri" she smiled

"I- but how..?"

"I can understand you" she laughed a little "But your best friend likes him too, what you're going to do? Kill her?"

"No, I can't even think of that"

"At least you know that, but I can feel your panicking about it, are you scared that he will accept her?" She asked and I stayed silent. I don't know what to say, I can't do anything if they starts dating.

"Let's head to class, I don't want to talk about it" I said and went to the class.

Yuri returned to the class and smiled at us. Katie wasn't there. She didn't came back for two periods and then we saw here entering the class with a smile.

"Hey!" She chripped and sat beside us

"How did it go?" I asked.

"Well, he rejected me, it wasn't me whom he likes" I sighed in relief as Ava looked at me

"Really?"

"Yeah, but you know, it's fine, he said he wants to continue our friendship and I'm happy that's it's all clear now" She said

"Do you know whom he likes?" I asked

She looked at me and smiled, "It's you, June" my eyes widened,

"What..?"

"Yep, I'm happy for you though, but hey, it seems like you like him too. You should give him a chance, he is a little immature but he seems like a good guy"

I hugged her, "Thanks Katie"

"Anytime" Ava patted Katie's head and passed her a chewing gum.

"June?"

I looked at Yuri who came in our table, he was smiling. He looked apologitically at Katie and then again at me, "Can we tall?"

I smiled back and followed him.

"Hey! Both of you! My class is still going on! Where do you think you're going?" The teacher yelled

"Anywhere, where we don't have to hear your voice" He said as we both ran outside, laughing.

"So what you want to say?" I asked as we were walking in the halls

"What do you think of me?"

"That's you're a little immature for your age" I chuckled

"Hey! That's not what I want to hear but let me tell you, I am a very good guy"

"Okay?" I laughed

"And you are a good girl too, don't you think we would make a good pair?" He winked

"Pretty bold of you to say that" I narrowed my eyes

"The more bold you become, the more confidence you'll get"

"Surely" I smiled

"Is that a 'yes' then?" He smiled

"What if you get bored of me one day? I hate heartbreaks, it gives me nausea"

He looked at me, "you seems to have a bad past but I can promise you that I won't cheat on you as long as you're alive"

"Pfft, sure sure" I laughed "Did you ever had a girlfriend before?"

"Yeah, I did had one when I was of 10 years"

"EXCUSE ME?! 10 YEARS?!" I nearly shouted

"Not my fault, that girl was cute but you know, her mom scolded her for dating me so she broke up" he pouted

"Understandable, dating you would make her life a mess" I nodded as he glared.

"But it's good that we broke up, I don't want a fatty, annoying and complaining mother-in-law" I laughed more.

"What about you, June?"

"Well, I dated the person who was murdered two months ago" I smiled

"Murdered?"

"I don't know how"

"That's pretty sad, isn't it? It must hurt to lose the person you love completely" he said

"Not really, he cheated on me" I laughed.

"Oh- damn, sad" he smiled "But it's pretty tragic, good to see you're doing well now"

"Of course!"
