Friday night came, and I fiddled with the buttons on my jacket. I tapped my feet against the wooden floor, as I sat in one of the living room chairs waiting for Hazel. I heard the doorbell ring and I got up and walked over. When I opened it I saw Will standing there beaming at me. "Hey Nico!!" he chirped. I smiled slightly "Hey Will. Hazy's almost ready." I said. He grinned at me. "Cool. Um, can I come in?" he asked. I turned pink "Oh! Uh, ya, sorry." I stepped back and opened the door wider, and Will walked in. I sat down on the couch, then motioned for him to sit. He looked around the room, and I took a moment to stare at him intensely. Will, not even looking away from a picture of a garden (courtesy of Persephone), said, "I know I'm super hot, but no need to stare." he said. I turned beet red, and quickly looked away. Just then Hazel came down. She looked pretty much the same as she did at school, just with a different color skirt. "Okay! I'm ready!" she exclaimed. I quickly stood up, greatful to get out of this awkward situation. I followed Hazel out the door, and she stopped in front of a red car. (Okay, super random, I'm watching a Ryan Trahn vid as I'm writing this, and he's all, "I heard when u die and go to heaven, you're greeted by a Chick-fil-A worker..." I thought that was funny, but I wouldn't know because Chick-Fil-A wants to make gay marrige illigal again, so we don't go there, but ya.) Will rushed over, quickly opening the passenger door for me. "Here you go sir." He said smiling widely. I raised an eyebrow, but hopped in. Hazel climbed into the back, and Will got in the driver's seat. He drove over to someone's house, taking about 15 minutes. "Who's house is this?" I asked. "Percy's." Hazel replied. I frowned. "Who's Percy?" I asked. "You'll see." Will said. We got out, and walked up to the front door. Hazel knocked twice, and we heard someone scream, "I'll get it!!" the dude from before, the one with black hair, opened the door and grinned at us. "Hazel! Will! Um, dude I don't know!" He exclaimed. Hazel smiled. "Hey Percy. This is my brother Nico." She said. "Hi." I said shyly. Percy smiled. "Cool! Come in you guys." We walked into his house. It was a cozy home, with cups and magazines spread across the coffee table. He lead us down a hall, and opened a door. His room I thought. A bunch of other people that I had seen near Hazel were sprawled in various places. "You guys! Hazel and Will are here! Also Hazels older brother Nico!" Percy said. "Hi!" everyone said. "Okay! Soo, this is Piper, and Jason!" Hazel said, pointing to a girl with brown skin, multi colored eyes, and a brown braid. "'Sup." she said. A guy with neat blonde hair and a white polo shirt nodded to me. "That's Annabeth." Hazel said. A girl with wavy blonde hair, and gray eyes waved. "Leo and Calypso." she said. "Ayy!" a guy said with curly brown hair said. The girl next to him with long brown hair gave me a small smile. "And of course you know Frank." Hazel added. "Hey Nico." Frank said. I sat down next to Hazel and Will, and Percy flopped down on his bed. I noticed everyone was holding a game controller. "2 more people can join the game... you guys, do rock paper scissors, to see." Annabeth said. "Um, that's okay. I don't need to play." I said quickly, my face heating up. Why did I come? They don't have room for me. "Don't be ridiculous Nico. I just won't play. I usually don't anyway." Hazel said, handing me a controller. "Okay, thanks Haz." I said, giving her a small smile. "Let's get back to playing!!" Percy whined. "Ya, I need to kick your butts know!" Piper said grinning. I looked at the screen and saw they were playing a racing game. "You played this before?" Will asked me. I nodded. "Cool, cool. You any good?" Will asked. I shrugged. "Mehh." I said. Percy started the game, and we all picked our characters. It beeped 1, 2, 3, GO, and we were off. I took first place with Will on my tail. "I'm coming Nico!" He said grinning. I snorted. "HA! Good luck with that!" I laughed. On the 2nd lap Will stole my place, but I regained in in time for my to win the race. "UgHN!" he groaned. I laughed, then quickly covered my mouth with my hand. "Why do you always do that?" Jason asked. "Ummmmmmmm" I said intelligently. "Is it because of your fangs?" Will asked. I stared at him. "How did you know I have fangs?" I asked. "I just assumed because Hazel has them..." Will replied. Oh ya. Huh. I forgot Hazel has those. She grinned at me, showing off her short fangs that were studded with gleaming diamonds. I grinned back to show the group my giant ass fangs. "Whoa. You're fangs are huge." Leo said. I blushed red and ducked my head. Calypso glared at Leo. "Really?" she huffed. "Do you have any other cool stuff because of your heritage?" Piper asked. "Um, I have wings." I said. "Really? I wanna see!!" Percy exclaimed. I smiled slightly then stood up. I moved so I would have enough room, spread my wings. The jut of my back, a few black feathers palling. Everyone's mouth dropped open, except for Hazels, and they stared in awe as I flexed them a bit. "Holy fucking shit." Leo gasped. "Hey, that girl you're always with... she has wings too huh?" Will asked me. I folded my wings back up and sat down. "Ya. why?" I asked. "Just wondering. She's your girlfriend right?" He asked. I wrinkled my nose. "Ew. No. I'm gay" I said, shuddering at the thought of dating Vanessa. Gross. "You're gay. Oh. That's cool.' he said, doing this really weird nodding thing, like he was trying to look casual. I raised an eyebrow. "Um, anyway, do you guys want chips? I think my mom made 7 layer dip." Percy said. "Yes. Your mom makes the BEST dip!" Leo exclaimed. "My dad is absolutely obsessed with it. He's convinced it's made inspired by him though..." Will said. "I'm assuming you guys want it." Percy said, getting up to get it. "So Nico. It's your first time hanging out with us. We want to know more about you." Annabeth said, turning her gray eyes on to me. "Okay. Um. I'm half descendant of Good, half of Evil. Um, Vanessa's apparently my friend. I like to draw." I said. "Wow. We now know so much about you. Calypso said sarcastically. I blushed. :You blush a lot." Will noted, which of course made me blush even more. "Do you have a boyfriend?" Piper asked. "Ha. that's funny." I replied. "Are you a virgin?" Leo asked. My eyes widened and I turned red. Calypso slapped Leo's arm and said. "You don't have to answer him." "Do you pay any sports?" Jason asked. I raised a brow. "Do I look like it?" I said. "Not really." Jason admitted. Percy walked back in the room just then with the chips and dip. "Hey guys. We interrogating Nico?" Percy asked grinning. "Shut up." Annabeth said. "Aww. You guys are so cute!" Piper squealed. "Personally, my OTP is solangelo." Jason said, adjusting his glasses. "What's Solangelo?" I asked. Bad mistake. "Will SOLace, Nico di ANGELO. Solangelo!" he replied. I turned bright pink. "Um, let's get back to playing." I said quickly. Hazel giggled, and so I was forced to flick her in the head. It was necessary. We played like 10 rounds, ate all the dip, and soon it was time to go. We said our goodbyes, and Will drove Hazel and I home. Hazel hugged Will goodbye when we got home, then darted upstairs to her room when we got home, leaving a Will and I together. "So, um, thanks for inviting me." I said shyly. Will smiled. "NO problem, You're a really fun person to hang out with." Will said. I stared into Will's eyes. They were like sparkling blue lakes in the middle of a forest on a crisp March morning... "Why thank you. Your eyes a pretty too." Will said grinning at me. "Aw shit. I said that out loud I didn't." I said. Will smiled. "Do you want to get coffee tomorrow morning?" Will asked me. I smiled. "Sure!" Will beamed. "Okay. I'll pick you up at 9:30." he exclaimed. "Okay. See you." I replied as he walked out the door. I walked up to my room, changed into more comfortable clothes. I got in bed and stared up at the ceiling, smiling. Will Solace just asked me out!
