Before you move on, there are a few things you need to know. This story is my very first novel. It's a paranormal fantasy with monsters, ghosts, and other creatures of the night. It gets darker the further it goes, and it is, in fact, already dark.

Desio Jokoa is written in first and third person. Ellis will always be in first POV, and the rest will be in 3rd POV. The change of scenes is indicated by ~~~~~. I might change it to something else in the future.

As for the meaning of the title, you'll find that out later. I fear it may be a spoiler.
