[chapter nine]
Ninth Letter

JENO didn't wake up this morning on time, but once he did he panicked for straight 10 minutes before actually getting out of the house. Jumping out of his window, he then remembered his eye contacts, but decided quickly it was a waste of time. Jeno ran down the sidewalk at full speed, knowing he'd miss first period.

Once he got to school he quickly signed in and fast walked to his locker. Putting his backpack away, and grabbing what he needed, he jogged to class. Right before he was about it open the door, the bell suddenly rang. It made him jump, but he was quick to get out of the way when students walked out of their first period.

He sighed as he made his way to his second period, and that's when he noticed a certain brown head walking out of class. He felt his heart beat fast, and he quickly sped up his pace. He kept his head down, hoping to avoid attention. He forgot his eye contacts, and that's when he regretted texting Jaemin in the first place. He should've never texted him, never wrote back, he should've never done anything.

He felt relief rush over him as he stepped into his classroom, and quickly made his way to his seat. Sitting down, all he could think about was Jaemin the whole time. He then thought about summer, it was in 2 weeks. He would be graduating in 2 weeks. That thought couldn't process in his mind, and he felt sorta nervous. He planned to skip graduation, since nobody would be there for him to be proud or cheer him on. It also never mattered to him much, he still didn't know what he wanted to be when he grew up.

He shook the thought off though, remembering that he still had school to finish. It was all just extra work though, so nobody did it.

That's when Jeno decided to lay his head down in his arms, closing his eyes as he wishes to fall asleep.

It was lunch time, and Jeno went to his usual spot on the roof. He didn't know why, but he felt weirdly alone today. His phone then vibrates in his pocket, and he fishes it out to see a message.

Jaemin
Where are you

Jeno couldn't help but crack a smile at reading the message. He felt as though Jaemin was looking for him, too bad he'd never find him.

Me
Not near you

Jaemin
That didn't help :(
Cmon, just a hint?

Jeno
No can do

Jaemin
Fine,
Are you in the lunchroom at least?

Jeno

Jaemin

Jaemin
Stop hiding, I just wanna meet you :(

Jeno
Sorry
I'm shy :(

To be honest, Jeno was shy, and he was just scared Jaemin would stop talking to him. He feared that. Jeno was now in the bathroom, hiding in a stall. He was panting a little, as he ran for his life he read Jaemin was coming to the roof. He was actually shaking, he didn't know why he just was.

He then decided to leave school early, skipping last period to get home before Jaemin could find him.

Jaemin
It's fine
But soon, you'll have to reveal yourself
Or else I'll become depressed :(

Jeno
Deal

Jaemin
:)

It was finally the second to last period, and Jeno skipped it as he walked out of school. He knew he'd be in trouble in some way, but half the teachers in the school didn't even know he existed anyway. Jeno walked home, and as he did he couldn't help but see a sign on his house.

His eyes widened as he read it in his mind. 'For Sale' it said. He quickly ran into his house, to find his parents sitting on the couch. Right then, it seemed they didn't even know he was there. It wasn't anything new, and yet it hurt Jeno every time they did it.

"What's with the sale sign? Are we moving?" Jeno spoke soft, almost scared to be noticed.

His parents simply ignored his whole existence, and it somewhat made Jeno nervous. He stared at them with a hurt face, but all they did was focus on the papers in front of them. Jeno fiddled with his hands, and felt embarrassed by just standing there.

He then felt hurt, and walked out of the house quickly. He walked down the sidewalk, head down as he watched his feet go in front of one another. He saw some other feet walk past him, and he looked at them, deciding where they stand. Most of them stood in middle class, but the others were upper. Some he couldn't tell.

Looking up, his vision went blurry as he bumped into someone. He gasped as he started to fall backwards. He was quick to balance himself as he grasped the other on accident, and the hands that belonged to the other caught him as well. He then looked up and met eyes that made him widen his. His heart started pacing, and he could feel himself having a heat wave in his cheeks. The brown eyes stared into his, widening as well. The golden locks falling to cover the upper eyebrow, Jeno watched as the others mouth opened to say something.

"It's you."
