I pulled the crucifix out of my shirt, and all the sudden, I felt that the impending force vanishing in thin air, and I could feel that there was nothing in front of me. Elsie uttered, "That was a good move." I smiled, and replied, "Yes, we need God."

We moved ahead; the lights of the lanterns were bouncing as we gaited around the house. I could feel the notorious presence in the house, William conversed, "Guys, it seems we gonna have trouble, it is not the modicum, but whole lot of evil spirits would be here. Get your crucifixes ready, we gonna must defeat the devil." I replied, "Yes brother, Amen to that." William grinned, I could a charm on the face of William, he was confident. William continued, "We have the word of God, that would protect us." I nodded, and we moved ahead, as we moved up, we checked every room. We placed crucifixes in every room, and in kitchen too, we sprinkled the holy water to cleanse the house.

I could hear the voices praying at the hall, we too were chanting the hymns of God, and that would encourage us. I went to a room, which had a rocking chair, near the window, and besides it there was bed, with designer valance on it. The peal of lighting hit the sky, and it revealed a notorious figure sitting on the bed, I saw an elderly woman, with short and curly grey hairs, she had blue eyes, and wrinkled skin. I lifted my lantern, and squinted my eyes, but there was no one on the bed. I realised that we are going to face evil in this house.

In a flash, I remembered what Jeanina had told, "This house where it is standing, was once an abandoned ancient cemetery." I chanted the holy hymns of God, and placed a crucifix on that table near the bed. I sprinkled the holy water around the room, and I went out of the room. I told William and Elsie about it, Elsie says, "We gonna have more of them coming, let's get to the hall." We hurried to the hall, but as we about to go down the stairs, we saw dark figures standing on our way, we could clearly make it out, as we lifted the lanterns, we could see that those dark figures were cutting out of the dark. We heard jeering, squealing booming the house, it seemed that the house was under attack, the dark figures seemed to be tall than the taller humans alive, and they were inches above the ground. William, Elsie, me and the pastors and nuns with us were ready for an action. We walked ahead like the soldiers heading for the war, we sprinkled the holy water on the dark figures, as we paraded ahead, and we reached the hall, where the families with our pastors and nuns were praying. William addressed, "Guys, this house is built on an ancient cemetery, and now the evil spirits had invaded this house. We gonna must do the exorcism, continue the prayers." William, Elsie, and I opened our Bibles, and started the process of exorcism, and as we continued, we heard screaming thundering the house, but we continued the prayers, the house began to shake, the chairs were moving, and that were tossed on us, however, that was shoved away by divine force. I realised that it was God who is protecting us from the evil. The lights began to blink, and I could see the evil-spirits around the house.

I heard the utensils clanking, and I saw the knives floating in the air, and they were charged towards us, but they were too shoved off. We saw the dark figure closing coming from the stairs, and they were charged towards us, I sprinkled the holy water on them. As we completed our prayers, Elsie uttered, "Guys, let's get out of the house, the house will get cleansed forever." I was confused, Elsie looked at me, she smiled and nodded, I understood that there was something behind it. We picked our bags, and got out of the house, we boarded our luggage inside our vehicles. I asked Elsie, "Sister, what is the catch?? This house will be abandoned." Elsie gleamed, and said, "Wait here for few minutes, this Tower of Babel would come down." William chimed in, "Don't worry young man, you will see now." William signalled everyone to wait for few minutes, and as we looked at the house, and I saw a huge thunder bolt hits the roof of the house, and the house gets collapsed like a pack of cards. There were debris on the ground, the house has been cleansed forever, I realised what Elsie and William meant, and we got out of the place. The Benjamins thanked us for saving their family. Jeanina and I got married, and now we are at peace.
