"Hey, Clemont! What are you doing here?" Serena asked with a curious smile as she got out of her Mom's car. Clemont turned to face them, contemplating whether to share the incredible news about meeting Ash. "Hey, Serena," he replied, his mind made up that she deserved to know the truth.

"Hello, Clemont," Serena's mother chimed in, welcoming him. She didn't waste time and asked, "Have you been waiting for long?" Not wanting to cause any misunderstanding, Clemont hurriedly clarified, "Oh, no, no! I just got here a few hours ago." Serena's mother then instructed her daughter, "Serena, go get him something to drink," and Serena promptly headed inside.

"Sorry for making you wait so long," Grace, Serena's mother, apologized to Clemont. Trying to avoid any further delays, Clemont explained, "It's okay. I actually came along so Ash could see Serena again."

Grace seemed puzzled and inquired, "Who wanted to see her?" Clemont took a deep breath, knowing it was time to reveal the astonishing truth. "It's Ash. He's alive, and he came here to meet me, you, and everyone else," he blurted out with a mix of excitement and concern.

A heavy silence followed his statement, and Grace's expression turned serious as she absorbed the information. She wanted to ensure that Clemont understood the gravity of his words. "You do understand the fact that he's no more, don't you?" she asked, her voice steady, anticipating his response.

Clemont's conviction didn't waver as he passionately asserted, "It's him, I swear! He was here with me. He came all this way to see us, to see you, Serena." His emotions were palpable, and he wanted them to believe him.

However, Grace couldn't help but worry about the uncertainty surrounding Ash's current whereabouts. "Where is he now then?" she inquired with a mix of concern and skepticism. Clemont's face fell slightly, as he admitted, "He was with me not too long ago, but then he rushed off somewhere. I don't know where he went."

Grace's stern look intensified, and she firmly cautioned Clemont, "Don't give my daughter false hope. I don't want to see her getting hurt if this turns out to be untrue." She cared deeply for Serena's emotional well-being and wanted to protect her from potential disappointment.

As Clemont sipped the tea offered by Serena, he felt a surge of courage to share more about his encounter with Ash. "There's something else I need to tell you," he began hesitantly. Serena, intrigued, encouraged him, "Go ahead, tell me."

Clemont's gaze shifted to Grace, who maintained her stern expression, making him a bit nervous. Taking a deep breath, he asked, "Did you get something today, like a letter or something, asking you to come to Lumiose City?" The question was essential, as Ash had mentioned sending a letter to Serena, inviting her to meet him there.

Serena nodded, recalling the odd letter she had received. "Yeah, I did get a letter, but it didn't make any sense, so I threw it in the trash can," she admitted candidly. Clemont's eyes lit up, "If you had just come, it would've been great."

Curious about the sender, Serena inquired, "What do you mean? Do you know who sent that letter?" Clemont nodded, "Yes, it was Ash. He sent it."

Serena's face turned pale for a moment, as if trying to process the startling revelation. "You... you're joking, aren't you?" she asked, her voice trembling with disbelief.

"No, I'm not joking. He was right here with me," Clemont insisted earnestly, wanting Serena to believe him.

A mix of emotions overwhelmed Serena. She fell silent for a moment, trying to absorb everything. Finally, she mustered the courage to ask, "Where is he now?"

Clemont shook his head, "I don't know. He rushed off somewhere not too long ago. We were both waiting to meet you here."

Serena's mind raced, trying to comprehend the situation. "How is he?" she finally asked, eager to know more about her long-lost friend.

"He's different now, way stronger than the last time I met him. He's changed his looks a lot too," Clemont revealed, providing whatever information he could.

As Serena stared at the numbers written on the small pieces of paper that Ash had given him, Grace observed the unfolding conversation. She hoped that Serena could find some sense of closure and happiness after reconnecting with Ash.

A few days later, at Serena's home, Grace expressed her concern about Serena's upcoming journey. "Are you sure you want to go? I'm worried about you," she said, trying to protect her daughter.

Serena's determination was unwavering. "Look, I'm sure about this. I've been sitting at home for so long now. I want to go out and pick up what I left behind," she exclaimed, with a small smile indicating her newfound purpose.

Understanding Serena's main goal was to find Ash, Grace teasingly urged her, "Just stay safe and... tell him how you feel." Grace's words evoked a rush of emotions, reminding Serena of her feelings for Ash.

"MOM!" Serena playfully shouted, her mother's teasing bringing a sense of comfort. "I'm going, Mom. See ya!" Serena bid farewell to her mother, setting out on her journey to explore the world again with a renewed purpose.

Meanwhile, at the Kanto facility, Cynthia and Delia had a heart-to-heart conversation. Cynthia was curious about what Delia wanted to talk about.

"You have your Mom's eyes," Delia remarked, surprising Cynthia, who knew so little about her mother. Cynthia's interest piqued, and she asked, "You know my Mom?"

Delia gently caressed Cynthia's face and smiled warmly, "Of course I do, my darling. You have her eyes and hair, and even her attitude."

The mention of Ash brought a distant look and a smile to Delia's face. "And Ash, he's just like your father - reckless yet kind and loving," she added, drawing a connection between father and son.

Confused by Delia's words, Cynthia probed, "What do you mean? Are you saying Ash is like my father?"

Delia calmly clarified, "No, I'm saying he's your brother." Cynthia was stunned by the revelation, finding it hard to believe.

Unfazed, Delia nodded, confirming the truth. "It may be difficult to accept, but that's how the truth works sometimes," she said, acknowledging Cynthia's struggle.

Delia then continued to share the story of their parents' relationship and the reasons behind their father's disapproval. "Our father was against your father and mother's relationship," Delia explained, her voice tinged with nostalgia. "It wasn't because he didn't like your father or anything like that. In fact, he respected him as a person and a Pokémon Trainer. But he was worried about the potential troubles that could arise from their union."

Cynthia listened attentively, trying to understand the complexities of her family's history. "You see," Delia continued, "Your father was a world known and adventurous Pokémon Trainer, always seeking new challenges and traveling to distant lands. He had a free-spirited nature and a strong desire for exploration and adventure."

Her voice softened as she recounted memories of their father. "On the other hand, our father was a more cautious and traditional man. He believed in stability and safety, especially when it came to family matters. He feared that your father's adventurous spirit might bring uncertainty and danger into our lives."

Cynthia could now picture the contrasting personalities of her father and her grandfather which led to their differing views. "Although my father never held any personal animosity towards your dad" Delia continued, "he couldn't shake off his concerns about what a life with a daring Pokémon Trainer might entail for his daughter. He wanted the best for our family and sought to protect us from any potential harm."

A moment of reflection followed as Cynthia absorbed the revelations about her father's perspective. "So, your mother my beloved sister Yellow and Red's relationship faced many challenges due to these conflicting views," Delia said, her voice carrying the weight of the past. "They knew that being together might not be easy, but they were deeply in love, and their bond was strong enough to face the world together."

Cynthia felt a mix of emotions—compassion for her parents' struggles and admiration for their courage in pursuing love despite the odds. Delia's eyes glistened with tears, reminiscing about her sister and the sacrifices she had made for love. "The last time I met her, she gave Ash to me and pleaded with me to take care of him" Delia said softly, her voice filled with a mixture of sorrow and love.

"Your parents, wanting to keep you and Ash safe from any potential harm, made a heart-wrenching decision," Delia would continue. "She entrusted Ash, who was just a baby at the time, to my care and left him with me. She knew it wouldn't be safe for him to be with her, and she wanted to ensure both of your safety."

"I'm sure It wasn't an easy decision for her, Cynthia," Delia would say, her voice filled with empathy. "Your mother loved you and Ash dearly. She wanted to create a safe and secure future for both of you, and in doing so, she had to make sacrifices that none of us could fully understand."

"I have never heard from her ever since. I have taken care of Ash till now. But now I'm helpless," Delia concluded with a heavy sigh. "So, I want you to guide him, until the day he can find someone who can guide his life the right way."

Cynthia's heart swelled with a sense of responsibility and empathy. She could sense the depth of Delia's love for Ash, her brother, and she realized that she held a unique place in their family. "I'll take care of him," Cynthia assured, her voice steady with determination.

Delia's eyes sparkled with gratitude and hope, knowing that Cynthia would be the guiding light Ash needed. "I know you will," Delia replied warmly. "Tell him everything as and how you please. I don't think I have what it takes to tell him all this myself, even though I knew this day was always coming."

With a newfound purpose, Cynthia embraced her role as Ash's sister and vowed to be there for him. It was a journey she was willing to undertake, not only to understand her family's history but also to be a pillar of support for her brother as they navigated the complexities of life together.
