Lily's POV

As we reached the police station, we were instantly met by a police officer. He looked at the guys and then at me. As soon as he saw me, his eyes widened. It was probably because I looked like a mummy with all the bandages on my body. Quickly ushering us inside, he made us all sit down and gave me a glass of water. Suddenly, another officer walked out of the little staff room and walked towards me. She said,

"I believe you were the one who has been abused by Mr. Carter?"

I nodded my head and he lead me into another room, away from the guys. As I looked at them, I could see them all smiling at me reassuringly. Even Asher. Why did he have to do things which made me feel so horrible for rejecting him even though it was for his own good? Had I made a mistake? Sighing, I walked into the room and sat down on the chair, the questioning instantly beginning. I gave an honest answer to every question that they asked. After I was done with the answers to the endless amount of questions, that had almost made me burst into tears, the officer said,

"So, he was originally a sweet boyfriend but then he started beating you, killed your parents and was the cause of your best friends suicide? Oh, and he's also a druggy?"

As I nodded my head, she smirked and said,

"Well, you don't need to worry honey! He's going down! If you want to hire an attorney against him. Do you?"

I nodded and told her exactly what me and Laura had planned. She smiled at me and said,

"Good job, girl! You don't need to worry. He's definitely a 12 year prisoner. Plus, he seems to be someone who will stop with the drugs once he gets medical attention. That way, even when he'll be out of prison, he won't be a psycho out for your blood."

I smiled at her gratefully. I couldn't say that her words weren't comforting, because she seemed like a nice officer with a ton of experience, judging by the way she worked. Getting up from my chair, I was told that Carter had also hired a lawyer. I wasn't scared about it because I knew that we had too much evidence against him for the judge to not at least give him a few years of jail time. As I walked outside, I saw that Cole, Jason and Ryan had gone. A notification popped up on my phone. A text by Ryan saying "Good luck! ;)" popped up. I sighed in annoyance. Why did they have to do this to me? Knowing that my company was now only Asher, I walked towards him slowly, trying to delay the time that it would take to get to him. I really wasn't ready to face him.

Once I finally reached him, he looked up from his phone and saw me. He looked tired and weary, making me feel ten times worse than I already did. Silently walking to his car behind him, I thought of what I could do to tone down the awkwardness a little. It turned out that I didn't have to wrack my brains to come up with anything, since he had already gotten inside the car and turned on the music. We listened to the music the entire way home, singing along to 5sos every once in a while. It was just too hard to not sing along to them. The awkwardness had gone down by quite a few levels and I didn't even notice. However, as soon as we got inside his house, it came rushing back like the second consecutive jump scare in a horror movie that always happens but no one ever expects it to.

Once he had closed the door behind us, he finally looked at me. Immediately, his eyes flashed with determination. I took a few steps back, seeing his sudden intense expression, but he took faster steps towards me, picking me up for the millionth time in the past few months, and taking me upstairs. Like always, I thrashed around, wanting to be put down, but he kept taking me upstairs. Shoving the door to my room open and walking inside, he pushed me against the wall. Before I could protest, he slammed his lips onto mine, making my eyes widen. A part of my heart was asking me if something was wrong with him because he had been rejected by me not so long ago, but the other part made me want to melt from the warm feeling that I was getting inside of me. His passionate kiss died down to a soft one and he held me tightly against his chest from around my waist.

After a minute or so of complete bliss, he pulled back. He looked deep into my eyes and thumbed my lips as he caught his breath. I could feel my own chest heaving up and down more than usual, but the after effects of the experience that I just went through made everything hazy. In a low, whispering tone, Asher's husky voice made it's way to my ears.

"Did you feel it? The warmth?"

Before I could stop myself, I nodded my head, immediately regretting what I had done afterwards. He smiled at me and said,

"You can't tell me that you don't like me if you feel it. I knew that I liked you a lot and didn't believe you when you told me that you weren't interested. I could see your lies in your eyes. Even so, a little thought kept nagging at my head. I realized that you may actually be speaking the truth. But, judging by what both you and I felt a few minutes ago, that's not true. Lily, you can tell me what's actually wrong. I'll support you through everything."

I sighed and looked down, his hands still cupping my face softly. My heart was split into two, one part telling me to tell him everything, and the other telling me to stop and run away as fast as possible, fighting each other to get my consent. Suddenly, I saw the bigger part of my heart clearly. Right there and then, I had made my decision. Looking back up towards him, I acted on my resolution.

What did her heart say? Should she tell him or should she stay silent? Read on to find out. But, before you go, don't forget to comment, vote and share. Thank you for reading everyone! Love you guys. Peace out! <3
