Avni was waiting impatiently for her turn because her nervousness reached to its peak. She just wanted to go inside first to end her never ending stress and anxiety and god finally listened her prayers. The first turn was hers. A handsome yet decent man came out from Neil's cabin and said avni to come inside.

She was unknowingly feeling something different yet exciting and good. She shook her head and opened the door of his cabin with slightly shivering hands. She also doesn't know why she is so nervous today. Pushing all the negatives aside she stepped inside but her steps froze an instant when she saw someone. Someone close to her heart, someone she never had idea that she would meet him again, someone with whom she shared nothing but everything, someone that rules her heart and mind. Her heart skipped a beat and her hands trembled. She clutched the doorknob tightly but somewhere she was happy that destiny finally brought her to where she always wanted to be.

Feeling someone's presence and gaze on him made neil looked up from the file and he couldn't believe the only girl he was thinking about all these days was standing in front of him. Her eyes started tearing up and she looked down biting her lips but his eyes didn't leave her side. He was shocked, happy, amused and what not. The air was getting thick around making it more difficult and awkward for them.

She composed herself and cleared her throat bringing back her sanity.

Avni: May I come in sir?

She said in her sweet voice that he couldn't help but smiled softly and nodded looking at her. She entered inside and walked towards him slowly. With every step she took she felt difficult to breathe even.

Neil: sit

He said softly gaping at her. She shivered hearing his voice after ages and sat on a chair pinning her hair. Neil noticed her every action and reaction. He was waiting for her to say anything, he thought at least she would say hi or initiate the conversation but she was sitting quite and her eyes lowered as if she was hiding herself from his questionable and intense gaze. He wasn't aware of the list of employees and who are shortlisted for the interview. It was shocking for him seeing avni in his company.

Hadn't we shared something called friendship or she forgot me already? He thought looking at her face carefully.

He looked away sighing and cleared his throat. Avni noticed him through the corner of her eyes and then quickly looked down when he caught her looking at him. Supporting his elbows on table he leaned forward and started questioning her forgetting everything for a while.

Neil: why should we hire you?

Avni: if you hire me, it will be a great platform to showcase my skills. Whatever goals I set, I ensure to complete them within stipulated time.

Neil: why have you been unemployed for such a long time? It's been 3 months you graduated then what took you so long?

Avni: I enrolled myself for some advanced personality development course with some freelance work. ( in mind ) and was busy dealing with some unwanted things.

Neil: tell me about your ability to work under pressure?

Avni: I keep myself calm and focus on multi tasking while being patient.

And he kept on asking questions until he felt satisfied but she never lifted her gaze for once. He was impressed by her answers but her nonchalant attitude towards him annoyed him.

Neil: good I am impressed but you don't seemed confident enough to make eye contact while talking

He said in his cold voice and she finally upped her lashes making his heart flutter. His gaze softened and hers eyes turned moist. Their mouths were at rest but hearts were having their own conversation that they could not utter at that moment. The whole journey of their from college to now flashed in their mind like a movie.

Someone knocked the door and neil averted his eyes and granted permission to come inside. It was the manager of the company Mr.patel the most trusted man of his company.

Avni looked here and there calming her racing heartbeat. Neil looked at mr.patel and signalled him to say.

Mr.patel: sorry to disturb you sir but your signature is needed on this papers for the new contract of our project.

Neil: sure

He looked at avni .

Neil: you can wait outside miss you will get to know if you are selected or not in few minutes

Avni: thank you sir

She quickly went outside and neil stared at her retreating figure. He signed the papers and handed them to mr.patel.

Neil: mr.patel I am appointing miss avni as my PA

Mr.patel: sir but this interview is for employees if you want pa I will held it separately appointing some best hardworking people for you besides she is new. She doesn't have any experience regarding any work.

Neil: aap se jitna kaha hai utna kijiye. Tell her about my decision and explain her everything and ask her if she want she can start working from today itself.

Mr.patel: yes sir

He went from there but was still confused by his behaviour. Neil leaned back on his seat and smiled thinking about her.
