jiseo is at the convenience store yet again, it's around 2am and she questioned herself why she's torturing herself when she can have a good night sleep and not wake up tired but no, she doesn't roll like that. apparently she likes making herself suffer.

her eyes roam across the various brands of energy bars, trying to choose which brand to buy, and she ends up getting a plain ol' snickers. that's when something caught her eye, a person standing along the aisle a few meters away from her.

she turns her head and gazes at the boy. her eyes widen slightly at his disheveled appearance. he's wearing a black hoodie paired with black jeans. his face however— bruised and it looks like he just recently got a beating. the corner of his lips is busted, his eye slightly swollen while there were a few faint cuts here and there on the rest of his face.

he's looking at the bandages and oilments on the rack, and jiseo wonders why he looks so messed up— wait a second, she swore she had seen him before oh my god—

she takes out the crumpled wanted poster the police gave her a few days ago, it's crinkled and creased all over the poor quality paper. she raises the paper to compare the person and she was right, it really is that guy who was running away from the police, bumped into her in the process and ended up making a police officer rant to her.

before she could take a longer look, the poster is snatched out of her hands, she looks up quickly to see the same exact boy on the poster looking at her with wide cautious eyes.

jiseo didn't have a chance to properly take in his face before the boy swiftly covers his face with a black face mask that he takes out of the pocket of his hoodie. they stare at each other, neither of them made a move.

and then, he speaks with a really soft whisper, "i'm surprised you're not screaming."

"what?" jiseo gapes, "i can call the police right now and this is what you say to me?" she says but the boy doesn't answer.

"for all i know, i could get millions just by calling the station and say oh hey, i found that kid you wanted to arrest," she then continues, she doesn't know why she's even extending the conversation. she has a bad habit of babbling and bluffing when she feels agitated.

"then why aren't you calling the station?" he replies her with another question.

"i— i will do it. i'm going to go to the police station right now to—" jiseo says.

"so you're that type of person, interesting," that's all he says before he grabs some bandages from the rack and proceeds to the cashier, still having his mask covering his facials.

he waits for the cashier to scan the items and pays the bills. "what? what type of person?!" he hears jiseo from behind and he clears his throat uneasily. the cashier gives them both a skeptical look before placing the boy's bought items into a plastic bag. he walks out the store and was about to take off before the same voice stops him.

"wait—" the boy stops and turns around. oh my god jiseo you're so dumb, why are you stopping him?

"first rule, you don't tell your perpetrator your intentions," he says and jiseo widens her eyes, mostly shocked by the fact that he's not trying to kill her or something, "makes you easy, saying that you're going to report to the station. i can stop you right now if i wanted to."

jiseo freezes, unable to process what the fuck she was doing and the boy lets out a muffled snort from the face mask that's still covering half of his face. "can't catch me even if you really do report it though." jiseo comes to mind that maybe a little bit of arrogance is part of his traits.
