Cloudedmoon grasped a rabbit firmly with her teeth. After considering who she would share with, she carried it over to her friend, Blossomtuft.

"Oh, thanks," the dappled she-cat looked up gratefully. "How was your day?"

They sat down together to share the rabbit. As Cloudedmoon bit in, flavors burst on her tounge, and the meat soft and chewy.

"My day was good! I caught this by the border of BreezeClan territory with Glimmerfur. How was yours?"

"It was fine. I went on a hunting patrol and caught that squirrel." The pale ginger she-cat pointed her tail torwards the fresh-kill pile, where under a thrush, lay a squirrel.

They finished the rabbit in a few minutes. After Cloudedmoon gulped down her last bite, Blossomtuft excused herself. She took a vole and slipped inside the elders' den. Voices floated from the entrance. CLoudedmoon assumed that she took the vole to her parents, Littlefrog and Dustfleck. In a few heartbeats she returned, and Inkstar, who was standing in thee shadow of his den with Twilightripple, called her name.

Cloudedmoon watched curiously as her friend padded over. They continued into Inkstar's den. murmurs came from the den, and no matter how hard Cloudedmoon pricked her ears, she could not hear what was going on. After a minute or two, Blackfern, the medicine cat, hurried in. After some time, Inkstar, Blackfern, and Twilightripple left. Cloudedmoon was about to get up and see where her friend was when Blossomtuft bolted from the den. She looked around, ran torwards Greystorm and told her something. The grey she-cat's eyes widened, and her voice dropped. Greystorm raised her hackles and snarled at Blossomtuft. The she-cat raced away and out of camp. Cloudedmoon, worried, followed, but she was never a fast runner. She followed the speckled she-cat's scent trail to the border with the rouges, but did not dare to follow her friend's scent trail over the border.

"Oh no!" Cloudedmoon thought out loud. "Why did she cross the border!?"

She took off running as fast as she could, which was, of course, not very fast. Exhausted, she took a deep breath. "Blossomtuft has crossed the border to the rogue territory!" she yowled to the whole camp.

"What?" Inkstar cried, his eyes glittering

"I told you not to tell her!" Twilightripple snarled, tail lashing.

"I thought it was for the best!" Inkstar argued, staring his deputy down.

"What in the name of StarClan did you tell her?" Cloudedmoon asked angrily, storming over to the pair.

"The truth - that her mother is Greystorm and her father is a rouge."

"What?!" Cloudedmoon snarled. "How could you, Inkstar?"

"I'm so sorry," Greystorm came over. "I never meant to cause trouble. But I have never considered her my daughter, ever since she was handed to Littlefrog and Dustfleck."

Cloudedmoon shook her head in anger and walked away, worried about her friend.

Sorry for the short chapter, but we need to know Cloudedmoon's and the two higher-ranking cats's reaction! Next chapter will hopefully be longer!
