Review: You plan on meeting up with Katsuki in a cafe to go to the mental institution you work in to visit Miss Todoroki and Grandma Fukui! Enjoy xD

~*~*~

After you finally readied yourself to meet Bakugou, you then proceeded to bring your necessities with you, before you immediately left your room to head downstairs. Passing a mirror along the way, you looked at your reflection, checking your concealing accessories: Shades, check; mouth mask, check; hoodie, check! Your disguise is all set! As for breakfast, while it may be true that you haven't eaten yet, you plan on eating at the agreed rendezvous, the cafe, hence why you decided to leave an hour early. Besides, it would take you a while to cook and clean up afterwards.

Once downstairs, you eyed the dining table, half-expecting to see your mother rushing to drink her coffee then off to her work. But of course, that hope died instantly once you didn't see a trace of her coffee mug on the table nor the usually read newspaper. It was the same as last night. Except...

A folded piece of paper. That wasn't there before.

Skeptical, you neared the writing material to check what was written on it. You don't know what may be written on it. It might be from a stalker or some unfriendly stranger that has no good intentions. You were kind of nervous to see what was written on it. For all you knew, it might be written in blood!

Damn, you watch too much horror movies.

Once unfolding the paper, you sighed in relief. This was Oru's cursive hand-writing; sharp and prince-like. Plus, his name was literally written at the bottom of the message.

"Oh my Christ," You were literally on edge over a stupid piece of paper. "What the fuck, me?" You cursed yourself before reading the letter your mentor left you.

"My dear student, (Y/n),

As promised, my protege would be waiting for your change of mind. For now, the best I could do is leave you his contact number. You should be able to communicate with him if you would ever encounter a change of heart.

XXXX-XXX-XXXX

Your mentor, Oru."

Hmm, you'll come back to that later to save the number. Until then, you should already be on your way to the cafe, unless you want Bakugou to kick your late ass.

"Ah, Bakugou, you're already here!" You exclaimed as soon as you arrived the agreed meeting place. As he promised, he really did both his and your lunches based on the plastic bag he's currently carrying. "Wow, you're punctual," You remarked, while smiling, despite the fact that your mouth was covered with a mask. It's not even nine yet, but it would seem like the both of you were already at the cafe, with free fifteen minutes left on your hands.

"... What the fuck are you wearing, you look damn suspicious," You would've glared at him for his rude remark, if only you weren't wearing sunglasses.

"Well I don't really have the privilege of showing my face without an angry mob forming to get me," You sarcastically responded back, crossing your arms while doing so, as the ash blonde let out an irritated 'tch' before continuing his argument.

"Didn't I tell you I'll beat them all up?" Haha holy fuck, he was serious in his text.

"Didn't I tell you that you'd have a criminal record if you do so?" You sassed.

"They fucking started it. Or will start it."

You looked at him, unimpressed, despite the disguise hiding your face. Although, somehow, Katsuki recognized the look you were giving him.

"Fuck off. It's not like I haven't done that before." And like that, the joking atmosphere went away in an instant when it dawned to you that Bakugou was-- is a bully. It's what made this whole scenario seem like a fantasy to you in the first place. The person bullying your... best friend(?) is now hanging out with you.

You didn't realize that you were staring silently until Bakugou snapped his fingers in front of you.

"Oi, you're being quiet," You blinked rapidly out of your trance, only to see Bakugou's furrowed eyebrows, eyeing you as if he's silently asking you if there's something wrong. "Look, I know you're all messed up with that Sports Festival shit. But like I said, I'll keep those bastards away from you." He declared but rather with his usual boastful attitude, he actually said it to reassure you with his own way of sincerity.

That's right. Bakugou is not a bad person. He's just a guy who can't express his emotions right. He never did get to say his honest thoughts. He usually just blankets them with either curse words, sarcasm, or even claim the exact opposite of his own thoughts. Somehow, he managed to do the same with his inferiority complex by covering it up with a superiority complex. Imagine being so bad at sharing your emotions that you became good at hiding them, which is the exact opposite of what you wanted to happen. It's... practically unbelievable.

"I know; I trust you. Thanks." You genuinely responded back despite Bakugou's hostile intention towards your future unfortunate victims, but you know very well it's just his twisted way of reassuring you... probably. Man, now you have to look after Bakugou to make sure he doesn't murder a civilian.

"Oh! Before we leave, I'm about to grab a quick breakfast, so wait here while I get in line. Also, you want... any...?" You trailed off as Bakugou raised his occupied hand with take-out food, presumably your breakfast. "... Oh."

"I knew you were a forgetful idiot so I came prepared," He huffed out before handing the warm paper bag to you.

"Hah, gee, thanks," You snickered before slightly opening the bag.

Woah, the food is still hot. Wouldn't it be kind of funny that Bakugou was heating up the bag with his explosive hands the whole time? Actually, no, being a food lover and Bakugou being a destructive grenade, that's actually a nightmare.

"Here, I think I have a few changes in my pocket to pay you back; hold on," Before you could even insert your hand in your pocket, Bakugou demanded you to forget about it. Just as you were about to open your mouth to protest, the crimson-eyed male interrupted you yet again.

"Just don't; it's my treat or some shit like that."

"But aren't you going to eat breakfast? Or maybe you already did..?" You inquired. "Either way, I really should--"

"My food is within that bag too. We both eat breakfast and then we'll leave by nine, just like we agreed on." The ash blonde reminded as the two of you found unoccupied seats to sit on to enjoy your meal, with you having to stay silent, now knowing Bakugou is quite insistent on this.

However, as you were enjoying your breakfast with Bakugou, you couldn't help but notice the red tint on the tip of his ears every now and then.

"Hey, you okay? You've been staring at the building for a while now," You snapped out of the thoughts you easily forgot in a second from Bakugou's sudden inquiry. As soon as you arrived at the gates of the mental institution, you've felt nothing but hesitance. Regarding your thoughts earlier, you forgot exactly what they were due to the sheer fast pace of how easily it appears and disappears from your head. All you know is that it has something to do with your two patients' reactions towards your incident in the Sports Festival.

You were really worried that they won't look at you the same anymore; worse if they wish not to have anything to do with you anymore.

To say you were nervous was an understatement, and Bakugou was not blind to this.

"Y-yeah, I guess..." You managed to finally answer after what it seemed like long moments of waiting. "Hey, are you sure you didn't forget anything? We can always--"

"Stop fucking stalling." You closed your mouth at the accusation. While you want to object, you can tell that Bakugou was growing impatient, and so, you kept quiet. "What happened in that damn Sports Festival won't change a thing of you in their minds if they actually managed to tolerate your ass for this long," He stated rather confidently, as you gawked at his reassurance.

"Right... Um, so, just a reminder: people here are mentally ill, so I hope you don't lash out at them if they somehow annoyed you or anything. I'm just really asking for your patience." The ash blonde just stared at you, pondering over your overly simple request.

"What? Think I can't handle a few nut-jobs?!"

"It's not like 'handle', more like 'stand', and please don't call them that."

The crimson-eyes male just huffed. He certainly recognized his own short temper, but he just really doesn't want anyone pointing that out. He knows what he has to do. He doesn't want to be told on what to do. He just does. He can do this.

If Midoriya managed to live this long despite the daily irritation his presence brings to Bakugou, he can surely tolerate the patients of this building.

"Yeah, whatever." And from Bakugou's response, it was your goal signal to start walking towards the entrance, silently praying that your (former) co-workers wouldn't make such a fuss over your presence and 'your victim', Bakugou. Maybe, if they saw the two of you together, it could get them to think that there might be a misunderstanding.

Of course, that was all wishful thinking.

You can't say for sure how they'd react. Your record was spotless in this place, and to think you'll blow it all up just like that in a competition.

"This is it; this is the story of the day I die..." You remarked, unknowingly aloud, causing for Bakugou to look at you weirdly. Just as he was about to say a witty reply, a familiar voice called out from behind the two of you.

"Ah... You guys are here." The voice was monotone, albeit it had an underlying tone of surprise.

"Oh, Todoroki-kun!"

"Fuckin' Half n' Half!"

"... Hey."
