"Hi!" I called to Mel, who was stood there aimlessly, as she couldn't see me. I swear she's blind sometimes.

"Oh, there you are. I couldn't see you," She said, walking towards me. As she sat down, both our phones buzzed. I pulled my phone out of my designer black, leather bag and read it:

Roses are red, violets are blue. I see u but u can't guess who...

-Anonymous

I looked round, as dread and question filled my body. For some reason, Mel was looking round too, terror written plainly on her face.

"Are you alright," I asked, but she seemed to have zoned out, still looking round as if someone was there, "Mel!"

"Huh, oh. Are we ordering yet?" She asked, oblivious to my question.

"Yeah, I guess. Are you alright?" I asked again.

"Yeah, why do you ask?" She asked, looking down at the menu, "Who text you."

"Just my mum," I lied, "What about you?"

"Same, just my mum," She answered, looking up from the menu, "By the way, the hamburgers here are to die for."

"Oh, ok then," I said, as the waiter walked over.

When we had finished lunch, and by the way the hamburgers were to die for, we went back to my house. After a few minutes though, she got another text and then left instantly after reading it, saying that she had to help her mum clean the house. If she wanted to leave then she could have come up with a better excuse, I mean, her mum is at work at the moment and even if she had a day off, their maid, Jenna, cleans the house. She had been acting weird since Bryn went missing, but now Bryn had been found dead, she was even worse.

As I walked up to my room, I saw the back garden light on. When I got to the window thought, I realised it wasn't my garden light, it was Bryn's. I stood there watching the garden when I saw three people about the same age as me, two girls and a boy, sitting on the bench.

I didn't recognise them and they definitely weren't from around here.
