(Warning: Mentions of rape and harassment.)

-Penelope doesn't have a very good history with friends before meeting Speedy and his dance crew.

-Her friends were a bunch of fakes and liked to treat her like a joke. (The only reason why was because of Proximity and Inertia.)

-Her friends are judgemental and sometimes like to make fun of her for her interests and for her clothing choices.

-Penelope became insecure of them because of their influence, and sometimes she would be scared of even expressing her interests to anyone. (Except her baby sister, since she understands them.)

-Penelope was once bullied by a group of three mean girls and guys in her school.

-She would always get judged for how she dresses and how she acts.

-One time, She got harassed by a teacher who always judged her for her clothing choices, making comments that  "Girls like you shouldn't be dressing up in clothes like that" "Stop dressing up like an ugly girl and dress like a girl already." Luckily, someone reported the teacher for her abuse towards her and she got fired for it.

-Penelope broke up with her fake friends later on after she overheard them badmouthing her to a bunch of other classmates later on.

-Her fake friends begged her to forgive them, but Penny told them off claiming that they never acted like her friends at all and always treated her like shit, before slapping them later on.

-She had gained some trust issues thanks to the experience with her fake friends and the bullies later on.

-She was once r*ped by her uncle at age 14 during one of their family's visits.

-She never liked her uncle and aunt at all because they were judgemental and abusive towards her and her cousins.

-One time, while she was asleep she heard the door creak open and saw her uncle and aunt enter. She got frighetened and tried to tell her mom, until her uncle put chloform in her mouth and gagged her with duct tape so she won't scream. After that, Her uncle proceeded to pin her down on the bed and took off her clothes and proceeded to r*pe her.

-After it was finished, Her Uncle told her that she better keep her mouth shut because if she ever told anyone, including her parents she will be sold to a group of 10 strangers with a large sum of money and her aunt pulled out a large sum of money to prove it. She was forced to keep her mouth shut in order to live.

-Penelope had to keep her secret silence because she was afraid of her uncle and aunt and didn't want anyone to worry. (No one knows about this, not even her parents, her sisters, Her friends or even Speedy.)

-She mostly hides her vulnearable side with her upbeat and perky attitude to cope with her issues.
