-Virgil's dad neglected him for his job, forcing him and his siblings to take care of his sister Gabby.

-He wanted to impress his dad at first, but he always pushes him away.

-Virgil once made a drawing for his dad for father's day, but his father ripped it out of anger due to his job, and told him to not disturb him. Virgil was heartbroken and then left in tears with his siblings comforting him.

-Virgil got bullied by a few kids in his school along with Gabby, he was often labeled "The freak girl's knight in ugly armor" due to protecting Gabby the most.

-He once befriended a little dog he found on the streets and wanted to bring it home with him, but it died because one of his bullies beat it up.

-Virgil saw the dog getting beaten up, when he was on his way home from school when he saw the dog getting beaten up by his bullies, Georgie (The Ringleader's name) saw him and forced him to watch it as "Payback" for getting him in detention, his bullies beat up the poor dog until it died. It wasn't long before Virgil snapped and beat up the bullies to a bloody pulp until they were knocked out.

-Since then, Virgil hated bullies and always beated them up whenever they tried to hurt his siblings.

-One day, When Virgil found out that Gabby was diagnosed with a disorder, his dad forced him to get rid of Gabby because he "Isn't going to have a circus freak as part of his family, and not in his house". Virgil and his siblings objected, until his dad forced him to and threatened to do something worse if they didn't obey. Virgil was forced to obey and send Gabby to the mental asylum for good. Including forcing him to cut ties and contacts with her.

-Virgil tried everything he could to try and contact Gabby, but his father prevented him from doing that, including removing all forms of contact to her. He even forbade Virgil and his siblings to even talk about her and even forced him to get rid of Gabby's drawings in the house.

"I do not want any of you to associate with that brat. Not when you are in my house." -Virgil and Gabby's dad.

-Virgil got into a fight with his dad one day and they got into a huge argument with Virgil saying that he hated his dad and wished he never had to live with him, saying that his dad only cared about his job and never about them and said that he hated him with all his heart and soul. He instantly packed up his stuff and left to live with his boyfriend after that. (Same with their siblings.)

-Virgil felt guilty for going along with his dad's threat to send Gabby away, because he felt like he "Betrayed" his beloved sister and because he had nightmares of Gabby begging him to save her, he cried himself to sleep because of the nightmares ever since then.

-Once Virgil and Gabby reunited with each other once again, He cried loudly and apologized to his sister for "Abandoning" her when she needed him, but Gabby assured him he never abandoned her and that she forgave him, knowing he never wanted any of that. Same with his siblings.
