-River is afraid of the dark because he was always sent to a closet that lasted till afternoon or nighttime by his parents a lot whenever he did something wrong.

-He hated his parents for making him lose his innoncence so early.

-He hates being called cute or adorable because it reminded him of one of the few guys that r*ped him as a kid.

-His parents sold him to a trafficking service at 6 years old.

-He developed major grudges towards grownups as a result thanks to them.

-He has a plush of a racoon doll named "Ricky Racoon", but kept it a secret because he didn't want anyone to know.

-He became more tougher and aggresive so he won't see himself as a vulnearable kid. (That's why his parents sold him anyway.)

-He once had a friend named Ronnie, but died. (He didn't know how Ronnie died, he could tell that he found blood on his bed one day and his body felt cold.)

-He's close to Matthew and a shoemaker he met when he was looking for food.

-He has nightmares of his parents a lot, and would mostly sleep with Matthew or anyone he trusted so they won't hurt him.

-The reason he doesn't like Kacy at first is because her innoncence reminded him of what he used to be as a kid, so he wanted to break it, but grew close to her to the point where he wanted to protect her.

-He liked puppet shows because it reminded him of how he and Ronnie would always sneak in to the staff room looking for food and watch Sesame Street.

-He got his scar from his mom who smashed him with an alchoholic bottle.

-His mom is an alchoholic while his dad was a deadbeat who prefered his job over his family. (That's why he hated both of them)

-He's not used to calling people by their real names because he's afraid of losing them once he grows close. (Luckily, This didn't happen anymore.) (It's why he mostly calls people by their nicknames)

-He would always visit Ronnie in the graveyard and would bring flowers to his grave every month.

Ngl, This was one of the few HCs I was afraid of posting for many reasons, But luckily I got it done.
