Whiskey may have made him feel better, rum may numb his senses but nothing would make him forget the image replaying in his mind. Hawks knew he failed, he knew he failed to protect his sister, he knew he was a failure, and he knew no amount of chicken nuggets nor whiskey would help him repent for what he's done.

He had attended the funeral that he had planned for her, she had been dressed in her favorite red dress, it was small for he didn't want the press to post a story about it. That was a week ago and here he stood hands in his pockets as he walked with his 'partner'. The commission wanted him as a spy, he would give them information while he infiltrated the league, he was just their little bird he was in a cage they built around him, he couldn't get free with how things were now.

"So what is this job?" Hawks questioned the black haired male, whom turned to look down at the shorter male, eyes piecing into his soul. Hawks felt a shiver up his spine from the intense look but he acted like it didn't bother him, for truth be told it was kind of hot honestly.

"Just a simple pick up and deliver" Dabi sighed, looking away from the blonde and continuing his pace, he had no time for flirting nor did he have time for trying to hit on the attractive male. Dabi was a single father and his daughter was his main priority he had no time for romancing his partner for a job the crusty man had assigned them to, honestly in truth he didn't trust the blonde number two hero, for him being a villain was very fucking fishy in his mind.

"Gotcha, so afterwards maybe me and you could go get a cup of coffee" Hawks flirted with the male catching up to his pace, he needed information and well he found this man attractive so why not get it from him? no matter how wrong it truly was, he also needed a distraction from his dead sister.

"No thanks I have better things to do than date a birdbrain" Dabi told the shorter male, as his cell began to buzz in his pocket and he had no choice but to fish it out and answer it, the only contacts he had was Lee's so it was no surprise that the man would be calling him, "Lee what is it?".

Hawks was curious as to whom this Lee was and why the black haired male seemed almost worried? what was this did Hawks read him wrong? maybe the black haired male had a boyfriend already, oh well he didn't mind sharing but he strained to listen in on the phone call.

"Kid' gonna be honest me and Magne had to relocate" Lee had a slight bit of panic in his voice, "Shadow bitch showed up with backup, were in my workshop at the moment the kids safe no need to worry" Dabi's free hand twitched at his side as he listened to Lee, "but you may need to get here soon may need your fire for a certain thing".

"I'll be there as fast as I can" Dabi replied, "hold in there", he quickly hung up and shoved his cheap flip phone back into his pocket, picking up his pace he was glad Lee's workshop was nearby this area the only problem was the birdbrain whom was just following him.

Dabi had no time for this, he didn't explain just kept walking and well Hawks well he was worried about what the fuck was going on, and he'd keep questioning it when they got to the warehouse, because the sight he saw only made him loose his lunch from earlier.

Hawks couldn't handle the sight of blood, he couldn't stand the stench of it ever since that day when he saw his sisters body, whatever was going on he wasn't going to like it for he'd soon be thrown into something that goes a lot deeper than it seemed, he'd soon be entangled in the web of lies and maybe soon he'd be freed from his cage just because of it.
