I blinked open my soft, kind, brown eyes for the first time. I gaped open my tiny mouth in wonder, there were so many colors! Everything was so big! I turned my head to the left and saw three, small, blurry figures standing in-front of a huge golden-yellow wall. Two golden-yellow and another black. They squirmed beside me and made tiny yips, and squeaky noises. Their blurry images suddenly cleared up and I saw it! They were strange creatures with shiny black noses and soft-looking silken puppy fur. The wall behind them has transformed into a bigger version of them. I sniffed my own black shiny nose. That wasn't a wall, that was my MOM! I squirmed over to where she was laying and curled into the warmth of her stomach. "Hello, my dear child." She softly woofed while nuzzling my tummy. "Hi momma!" I said. I could hardly believe how much our voices differed, hers was deep and smooth while mine was sharp and squeaky, like a messed up speaker. The other three shapes slowly approached me and my mother. I growled defensively saying "leave my mommy alone, you.... Things!"

I almost jumped when my mommy growled back at me "Those are your brothers and sisters! Play nice!" I whined quietly until my mommy seemed to regain composure and smile at me, "I'm very sorry if I scared you my little star, but you do need to learn." I cocked my head "What's a star?" I voice next to my pipped up "Yeah mommy, what are those?" The other two remained silent only betraying their curiosity by cocking their heads and looking expectantly at Mom. "Well, a star is a bit like a-" "DAD!!!!!! We want to see Daisy's puppies NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!" "Ok, ok, their right in here. But they might be asleep." "Ok, well- WAIT!!" The high pitched scream hurt my ears so I covered them with my paws. " THEY OPENED THEIR EYES!!!" I cowered in fear as three very strange furless creatures ran into the room. They crowded around my mommy and started petting her and saying things like 'Good Girl' and 'How Are You Holding Up?' I cowered some more as one of the smaller creatures reached down and picked me up with HUGE claws! My mommy only looked up at me curiously, "MOMMY HELP ME!!!!" She made a small sound a bit like a chuckle "Do not fret my dearest, they are only humans, they mean no harm. These are my humans, that is Mertle, Forgust, and the big human is Parker. They feed, care for, and shelter me." " ohh, so their nice?" "Yes my dear" "well alright." I nuzzled closer into the small human's warmth. My "brothers and sisters" we're already snuggling with their humans." But kids, you know we can't keep them, right? We have to find them good homes." "Awwwwwww!!!" "But Daddy!!!!"all the sudden another human burst into the room. It was a female with big curly hair and dangly things hanging off her ears. "Hey kids, sorry to break the news but I just called Carol. She wants to come over and choose a puppy to take home. We're selling it to her for $80." "Which puppy?" I gulped nervously. I didn't want to be taken away from my mommy! I whined extremely high pitched, and before I knew it there was a small yellow puddle on the human's white shirt. She shrieked then quickly put me on the ground and running off to an unknown location while the other humans snickered.
