Many of you may know by now that the Ultra Instinct we've been seeing isn't the true Ultra Instinct form, but rather Ultra Instinct "Omen". This means that Goku has had the power within him the entire time and can tap into it partially, but not entirely. We've just been given the design for "Mastered Ultra Instinct", and I've never really seen so much divide on a design. There are those who think that the design is awesome while there are others that think the original was better. Personally, I'm in the middle. 

For those who haven't seen it, here you go:

The one in the back is what Toriyama submitted last year before the arc began and yes, it's basically a recoloring of Super Saiyan God. The one up front is the one that will be in the anime. Personally, that looks better than Toriyama's design and I hope Toyotaro keeps that for the manga (which is, in my opinion, better than the anime). 

As for my opinion, I'm very in the middle of it. The original Ultra Instinct transformation was really good and I loved it. The mastered version is still pretty cool looking (especially the action figure, like damn. I'm not one to collect action figures, but I'd buy that version in a heartbeat), but I felt like the design could've been better. This is true of almost any of the Super Saiyan designs, in my opinion. Outside of the original Super Saiyan, Super Saiyan 4, and Ultra Instinct "Omen", all the others, in terms of design, are pretty stale. However, that does kind of make seem like a hypocrite to those who know me well as my favorite form is Super Saiyan God. Now, the difference is how the forms are utilized. For example, Rose and Rage seemed pretty bland until used. Same goes for Berserk. 

Now, I do love the choice of the color silver to be the color of the final form. In terms of chakra, the color silver can mean three different things: Time Transcendence, Mind over Matter, and Universal Unity. 

Here are the explanations of each of those three (from www.chakras.info).

8th Chakra (Time Transcendence & Connection to Spirit): " With the 8th chakra, we enter realms transcending space and time... It is a useful center for shamanic healing and communication with spirit guides."

11th Chakra (Mind over Matter): "...emphasizes the mind as a powerful tool".

12th Chakra (Universal Unity): "... allows you to transcend the mundane to reach Enlightenment and commune with the Divine."

If you watch Super as much as I do, all three meanings fit in some way. For example, Vados literally says that Jiren has "transcended time", and we can infer that Jiren also has Ultra Instinct because of how similarly he fought against it. On top of that, we have the fact that Ultra Instinct is when the body "thinks" on its own. Lastly, the transformation is in a whole other ballpark in comparison to every form that's come before making those transformations mundane and useless. 

So, yeah, I love the color choice but hoped for a better a design, but overall it's a good form, but not the best. Tell me what you think in the comments! Vote for more content and have a great day!
