Six years passed and Derken taught Blaria how to ride a horse and ride a dragon. He had also taught her how to shoot a bow, sword fight, read, write and take care of the dragons.

One day Derken asked Blaria to come and see him in her room.
"Blaria, I-" Derken hesitated uncertain of how to word what he was about to tell the girl, "I have come to a decision that you need something more than I can give you. I well, I think it would be best if I sent you to Mrs Colten, she will do a much better job of taking care of you than I ever could." Derken rushed through the last words. For a moment Blaria sat still, speechless.

"Does, does this mean your sending me away?" Blaria asked her question slowly.

Hesitating before he replied with a "yes" Derken glanced down.

"What?! No you cant!" Blaria cried out angrily trying to stop the small flood of tears that was forming under her eyes.

"Its the best thing I can do for you. You need a mother to teach you things I cannot." Derken said trying to calm Blaria.

"But this is my home w-what will I do without Fierorlix." Blaria stuttered.

"You can take Spire with you" Derken replied, smiling at the idea of the old woman trying to keep a dragon.

"I'd rather have Fierorlix that that horse" Blaria replied grumpily.

"You'll like it there I promise"

A hour later Blaria walked into Mrs Colten's large cabin,Wrinkling her nose at the strong smell of over freshness, Blaria walked into the room Mrs Colten had showed her and threw her luggage on the perfectly made bed messing it up.

"How am I supposed to last a year of this" Blaria groaned out loud.

What Blaria said was true for she truly couldn't last even one week of that neat mess. Mrs. Colten had shoved proper educate and education allover her for the days that passed.

Then the following Saturday night Blaria knew she couldn't take any more of Mrs Colten's lectures so Blaria quietly packed her things and snuck out to her horse, Spire.

Carefully saddling and bridling Spire Blaria took off into the night. The owls' hoos' echoed across the prairie as the sun set into the west.

Blaria yawned stretching out her legs as far as the stirrups would let her.

Riding to the left of the sun by a few feet. A sence of direction was something that she had learned from Derken. She was heading southwest.

After a few long miles Blaria started to wonder if she had passed the cabin, although it was tucked into the woods aways it was still visible from the trail.

Blaria let a yawn pass through her tiered mouth. She, sleepily, decided that this was a good place to reset. She had barely stayed awake long enough to curl up before she fell asleep.

Back at Derken's cabin a deep sigh was let forth. Derken had missed the active and quick to learn little girl rushing about. With another sigh Derken decided to go and get Blaria in the morning.

On the other side of the small woods Mrs. Colten wasn't missing Blaria in the least. For she was busy sewing and doing other tasks about the house.

But as morning came she started to wonder what was taking Blaria so long to get up.

So the grouchy old woman went up to see if Blaria was awake. Mrs Colten knocked on the door that separated Blaria's temporary room from the small hall, that Mrs Colten had to walk sideways to fit into for her body was not slender in the least.

When there came no answer Mrs Colten slowly opened the door, and to her surprise no girl lay in the bed or on the floor.

In quite a frantic hurry she rushed over to the small closet door and threw it open. And when no girl was squished in between the clothes she became quite worried.

Running out to the out house and checking it with no luck she hurried over to the barn. Opening the large barn door she instantly became disappointed for no girl stood there petting a horse.

But if she had been an any wiser tracker she would have noticed the obvious no horse was in the second stall to the right.

Instead she hurried over to her stable master and asked him to bring her to the Droveiw hills dragon training (also known as Derken's dragon stable) he hitched up the two Friesian mares and brought them around front.

Mrs Colten climbed up into the carriage and sat on its hard wood seat. Then she nodded to the coach and the two mares started moving.

Meanwhile Derken started off on his beautiful buckskin mare at a slow trot. At the speed of all the horses and riders Mrs Colten had passed by Derken without a second glance.

But on the other hand Derken had got the second glance and as he did he saw Mrs Colten in her carriage.

Galloping back towards the moving carriage, Derken stopped his horse in front of it and Mrs Colten got out.
What in heavens na-" Mrs Colten stopped short when she noticed who it was, "Derken!" Mrs Colten bit her lip for she knew what Derken was about to ask.

"Mrs Colten, where is Blaria?" He asked peaking around the woman.

"I..." She hesitated uncertain of how to put what she was about to tell him when, to her relief and surprise Spire trotted up to the two people.

"Spire?!?" Derken said with a confused look on his face then with sudden realization he repeated his question with more concern.

"Where is Blaria?"

Mrs Colten once again hesitated then to her mere surprise she noticed Blaria, hair in tangles and dirt smudged on her dress and skin, standing on the edge of the road. Pointing a chubby finger over to the girl Derken looked over.

Delight shone on Blaria's dirty face making it look a little less dreadful. Running over to where Derken stood and wrapping him in a warm embrace.

"Derken! I missed you" she said letting the tears of joy stream down her face.

"I missed you too" Derken whispered.

Then in a disgusted face she said "Derken, you where wrong about me liking it at Mrs Colten's"

Derken gave a sorry look over to Mrs Colten then when he couldn't help himself any more he smiled at Blaria comment. With that Mrs Colten picked up her skirts and climbed in the carriage and left.
