Dragons were screaming.
Fire blazed all around, consuming the earth.
The Fire Tribe had attacked. It was official.
It was war.
Shadow, the ruler of the Southend, took a patrol and his guards to kill Flame Burst.
"Alright," he said, pointing a claw at each guard. "Move out."
They nodded and started winging away to warn the villagers and evacuate them.
As he watched them, Shadow was attacked from the air and claws grappled at his shoulders.
He spun around and punched a Fire Tribal square in the face. He grabbed her forearm and breathed fire in the fire dragon's face, knowing perfectly well it wouldn't hurt her.
She smirked. "King Shadow," she cooed. "You're a fool."
He looked down at his claws and closed his eyes, laughing slightly.
"What," she snapped. "What's so funny? That you're about to die?" She twisted three claws into his side and pulled, removing some under scales.
Shadow winced in pain, but smiled back at her.
She narrowed her eyes.
"Sorry," he said. "Sorry Ember, but I have to go." He disappeared into the dark, shadow-y air, and left Ember flying awkwardly with her mouth down to the center of the earth.
