I zoned out all day. I had to be spoken to a ton of times about my attention span, and not in the good way. I don't know what's going on... why me? What the hell? I mean I've heard of telekinesis or super-strength but making dreams a reality? Sounds like something straight out of a sci-fi book.

I went home to the sound of things breaking and someone screaming. My mom.

I rushed in and, before I asked what was wrong, I saw a man with a gun. "Where are the bananas?" He said.

My mother was baffled, "Excuse me?"

"You heard me, where ARE THE FUCKING BANANAS?! TELL ME!!! TELL ME AND PUT IT IN THE SOCK!!!

I felt a immense stinging pain run up my arm, he shot me.

My vision was getting hazy but I had to fight through it. I heard my mom yell my name in sheer terror.

A polka-dotted baseball bat appeared next to me. Nice timing.

I swung and hit him as hard as I could, stumbling from blood loss. He turned to dust. I saw that just as I blacked out.

I woke up in the hospital. I looked at my left forearm to find stitches, I assume that's where I was shot. I feel a little bit woozy, but I know I'm going to live. I feel it. What will happen when I do die? Is this dream thing only my problem? Does it spread past me? Whatever the reason, maybe I'll find out.

My mom came in a few minutes later and hugged me. "What was that all about? Who was that man?" My mom inquired.

I told my mom what happened. "Did you really dream that?" Is all she asked.

"You don't remember most of your dreams, so I couldn't tell you," I answered.

"Well, honey, I believe you and I'm hear to support you all the way,"

"Thanks, mom" I hugged her again. She's so understanding. I know I made the right choice.
