This is kinda how fireworks are for me mostly when fuzzy or small. It's not a great time but yeah

This was supposed to be a super fun evening. Everyone was coming over for the 4th of July to eat and do fireworks.

Karl was running around and "helping" Sapnap and quackity get ready. They were making food and doing general cleaning around the house and yard.

Soon there was a knock on the door so Karl ran up and opened it with sapnap not far behind. Karl bounced on his feet when he realized who it was. "D'eam! Gogs!! Hiii!" He was so excited for his friends to be here. Dream patted his head. "Hey bub,are you excited?" Karl nodded happily and ran off again. George followed behind to let the others finish the food.

Soon enough they were all outside doing smaller fireworks and Karl was amazed by the colors but cautious of the noises. Then Dream was seen carrying a few big fireworks to the far end of the yard.

Quackity and George laid out a big blanket and a few chairs. "Karl baby, come lay and watch the sky!" Sapnap called, then ran over to Dream. Karl listen to him and was laying on the blanket with George by him and Quackity sitting near them, all looking up. There was a whistle and explosion of colors, which awed Karl until the boom finally came. He cried out, covering his ears and running into the house. "Karl!" Quackity followed quickly as another whistle and boom came from behind him. "George, tell them to stop!" He yelled behind as he opened the door.

Quackity saw Karl disappear behind his door and ran to him. The little was squeezing himself in the corner, still covering his ears. Another boom shot out and Karl pressed his ears harder, sobbing fully. Quackity grabbed his headphones and put them on the little, watching him helplessly. Karl took his hands away from his ears and moved them to hold his knees to his chest. He looked at quackity with terrified eyes and short breaths, then shoved himself into his chest. Quackity leaned against the wall and held him, not speaking a word.

Sapnap showed up in the doorway, looking for them. He noticed the two and locked eyes with quackity. Quackity put a finger to his lips, then lowered it back down to hold Karl’s shaking body. Sapnap nodded and went back out of the room.
"L-loud" Karl sniffled and looked at Quackity. "I know baby, no more of that. Okay?" Karl nodded and laid back on Quackity’s chest. His breathing slowly evened out as he fell asleep. Quackity stood up, holding him to his chest, and walked out of the room.
Everyone else was in the living room. George and Sapnap were having a quiet conversation as Dream was asleep with his head in George's lap. The two awake waved at him as he sat down. "I think they were just too loud for this one, should have used his headphones." Quackity explained as Sapnap nodded. George also nodded.

"Yeah Dream was very worried and felt so guilty that he regressed and basically cried himself to sleep." George explained, playing with Dream’s hair. "Maybe just the smaller fireworks for him next year and then his headphones. But make sure Dream knows he's okay. I'm going to lay his guy down." Quackity brought Karl to his room, laying him down and giving him his purple paci.
He went back to the living room to bid George a goodbye and good luck before laying on the couch. Sapnap chuckled and laid on top of him. "That was eventful. Is he really okay?" Quackity nodded and kissed his check. "He's fine, I think it just scared him with the loud and unexpected noise." Sapnap nodded too. "We will just have to check on him in the morning then."
