The Tellengale Family

The Telllengale family has become so different from the human's that the family could be considered its own species. In the Tellengale family you have powers or symbols that allows you to do what you wish, but there is a consequence! Every time you use one it would take away energy from your body and mind. Due to this they tend to have shorter lives. The Tellengales have adapted so that if there were only one gender left in the family they could impregnate and get pregnant. This is a defense mechanism. If one were to kill off the whole Tellengale family you would become stronger and immortal. Knowing this, a lot of people would kill off the family in an attempt to get that prize. Another can access (and keep) these powers through marriage, and a share of bodily fluids, or reproduction. Some Tellengales have a mating season, depending on the lengths they are alone. A mating season can be developed but never removed, and they are never born with one. The way they got their powers was through a deal with a demon by one of their ancestors. As another consequence they cannot get close to anyone or anything, if they do they will destroy it them self. There are ways to escape that part of the deal, through symbols passed on by another Tellengale, or pure will-power
