//shoves obvious joke in your face//

Alright but I do have a dilemma,,,

When I joined Wattpad for the first time, it was always going to be to create joke stories. I never really considered posting art, but now I do quite a lot and I actually get really great feedback! Don't get me wrong, I still plan on staying here to post writing and art, but here's the thing

Wattpad isn't a platform made for art. There's still a lovely art community that I'm proud to be apart of, but one day, when I'm older and more experienced and my art is on a higher level, I want to maybe do commissions, which isn't something I can realistically start here

As a result,, I think I need to expand

The main option for getting a larger art-based audience seems to be Instagram at the moment, not that it's the only one. Still, it scares me to start over and have to build a following again, especially since the one I have here took me years of bumbling around and is going down as we speak

I'm not obsessed with popularity, but I'm afraid I won't be able to make it and my art will simply blend among others. This could be a part-time or even full-time job for me one day(well, I dream it might be, if I get good enough and things go right), and a dedicated viewing audience is important to get any sort of income from it. However, my style is,,,, ,, really generic, it's clear I haven't really found what makes me unique yet and I'm fine with that, but an interesting presence gets you a following (as does fanart and not just constant OCs with bad designs pEARL)

By the way, I just want to make sure I've established that my art isn't at commission level yet, nor do I think it is! I've got way too little experience and my skills aren't there yet

But yea,, as much as I'd love to get an Insta for my art, or join another platform, I'm scared I won't be able to make it

. . .
Thoughts? Anyone feeling generous enough to give advice?
