VOLDEMORTS RETURN had been a topic that the Ministry of Magic had avoided. However the Magical Congress had little time to even humor the return of the Dark Lord before their security had begun to crumble. After the death eater attack that killed their former head auror; Patrick Hoode and Leo Black left for the Ministry of Magic. So in a matter of weeks after Voldemort's return, the Congress crumbled— leaving no-maj-born witches and wizards scrambling as the new leaders of the Congress create new laws for them alone.

Atticus Black had been on of many wizards who had kept their nose down during all of it. In a attempt to not rustle any feathers inside the new Congress, Atticus focused his time on planning his lessons for the next school year and didn't humor the topic of Lord Voldemort's return too much. However, when two of his best student and mew addition to the Black family finds himself on the front page of the Daily Owl accused of crimes that they were entirely innocent of; Atticus finds himself standing between what is right and family loyalty.

Atticus Black has been just one of those characters that I always wanted to develop more since introducing him in A Reckless Force. And this plot has always been something I wanted to do but could never entirely pull off. But reworking it to create a story to develop Atticus' character for the rest of Leo Blacks story was too perfect of a opportunity to pass up! That being said, you don't HAVE to read a Reckless Force first to understand Atticus' story. But it will give you a bit of context. And this story will lead you right into Part 2 of a Reckless Force!
