There is darkness that covers my soul, overlapping into my being with the thought to quench the faint glow of the light. And yet I do not choose for it to be so, no, my human nature deceives me out of my true walk, causing me to falter and stumble out of the path of the light. But I shall not allow myself to be deterred from my cause.

The pitch blackness of ignorance seeks to blind me forever. It is not my will, yet it hinders me from sight, losing me in the marred gaze of humankind. But I yearn to see bigger things. Beyond my scope and horizon, I shall seek them out.

The mud of this world is out to taint my heart, luring it in with that which seems pleasing to my soul. I do not wish for it to be so, but my human nature calls unto its desires, in essence destroying my humanity and taking the identity of that which does not define me.

I will not allow for it to be so, for inevitably it is my choice, and I choose the light, its warm glow, its pleasing warmth I seek refuge in it.
