The office had been chaotic ever since the announcement. Finn was fielding countless phone calls while running errands and prepping his youth outreach strategy. He loved it. Definitely stressful as all get out, but he loved it.

"We're going to want to make sure our presence online is strong. That's the best way to gain younger voters' attention, not through TV," Finn said. He didn't understand a lot of people close to his age, but he did get that much. It was one of the few things he had in common with them.

All of the interns started to take notes, eager for more instructions. Just as he was about to continue, Sir Garrison stepped into the conference room. Everyone sitting, immediately got up from their chairs. Finn gave a polite bow, welcoming him to take the floor.

"I won't use up much of your time." He stepped aside and another man entered. Mid-twenties to early thirties, Finn guessed with a mix of Terran and Oceina blood. It had to be, because how else could he have such steely blue eyes? And while the man wore a smile that seemed warm, everything about him felt off, and Finn's intuition was hardly ever wrong.

Sir Garrison waved at the man. "This is Frank. He's going to be helping with public relationships. Sir Andrew gave him a glowing recommendation, and if there's one thing I've always admired about his administration, it's his ability to communicate with all of the people." Whether he intended for it to be a dig at Finn or not, the comment still stung. "Finn, can we talk outside?"

And he'd just been singled out. Finn forced a smile. "Of course."

The three left the room together, and he braced himself to be taken out of his position.

"I still want you to focus on youth outreach. It's definitely where you're most needed," Sir Garrison said. "Frank is here to help take some of the burden off of me. I'll be delegating a lot of PR tasks to him, so at the end of the day you can give him your reports and talk strategies together. His specialty is in the districts outside of the city, and you know that's where we've always struggled the most."

Finn could only nod.

Without hesitation, Frank offered his hand for a shake. "I look forward to working with you. I've heard a lot of great things."

Finn took it, wanting to be polite. Handshakes were never his thing. What he didn't understand was why Frank smelled familiar? "I'm sure we'll do a lot of great work together."

"Sir Garrison will be elected, that's what we're going to do."
